Ive had a clear out this morning. Whole tin of quality street been chucked in bin. Could not bring myself to chuck away cheeses yet... they look at me and i melt.... Figure, weekend little treat of cheese and crackers not going to hurt till they are gone.

Had curry last nite for Scarface birthday and to try and blow out my cold.. put 1ib on this morning LOL - i give up. Dont eat much of it either but its just full of fat and grease. Gym tommorow, gonna have to do twice as long.

All flat treats gone now. Still SMOKE FREE Scarface and me... day 9 today.

Well done you are both doing fantastic with the fags.

I cleared out the last of my left over goodies on Sunday, I 'found' a couple of boxes of mince pies and was happily munching into them, after a couple I brought them round to my son, much to his girlfriends disapproval because she is trying to get trim also, still needs must.

I agree with JayJay about not buying stuff, if its in the house you will eat it, but its more difficult when you have a family or a partner there as well. I find though that if you take a bit of time and get a bit organised with preparing some things like even having a made up salad or vegie munchies in the fridge that helps to avoid the biscuit tin. Also I have started making a veggie filled tomatoe sauce, a bit of vegatable scouce that I can dip into if I fancy a bit of savoury things.
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done

English women tend to have sets of clothes in two sizes, I know I do.

A couple of years ago I put on too much weight and had to wear my sons' jeans - no way was I going to spend money on 3 sizes of clothes.

If you are the sort of woman or man who wears expensive tailored clothes, then you will have to watch your weight.

    That's reminded me.

Some people can afford to have their clothes custom made. Thus they can hide a multitude of sins.

A good tailor can even hide a hunched back and make the wearer appear not to have one.

I have size 10 trousers that I bought ten years ago which fit more tightly than the size 6 ones that I have to buy now.

    I'll get my coat

Oh yes, that's true too Daisy, the sizes are all to pot.

I always take a 12 and a 14 into the changing room, and yes sometimes the 14's are smaller than the 12's.

What I've found also is that the designer clothes are more roomy than the off the peg ones. So a designer 12 correspond to a off the peg 14.

Plus there is the American, English and European sizing which is confusing.

Just back from my weigh-in today. Lost 1.5lb which was a bit disappointing until I remember the home made christmas cake and selection box leftovers I was tucking into over the weekend. Still weigh more than DTS though.

it's ironic really, your name makes me think you've just been to a really terrifying yoga class.

Re: Sign up HERE for 2009's diet and fitness club!

Still have been rubbish in terms of getting up early and doing my exercise vids, plus have still be eating choc/cake at work...grrr, at least the biscuit barrel's now empty!

My food diary's going well - all is being recorded, as well as my exercise I'm doing (dancing and walking at the mo). Today is my first day where I've not eaten anything other than what I had planned which is what works for me. And dancing on Weds is usually non-stop which is better than last week's attempts.

I've got lots planned for the weekend so won't be able to pick all day, plus OH's out so I'll be bulk cooking healthy food for me and freezing leftovers to take to work next week.

I do find table sweets useful sometimes for a quick boost of energy (provided I can keep from eating the lot).

At a linedance event abroad last year they had huge round sweets on the table, so thinking it was probably a hollow chocolate I put this thing the size of a ping pong ball in my mouth and found it was completely solid. In fact it would only fit in the very middle of my mouth, it was so big. Ten seconds later I was asked to wcs by a certain American linedance choreographer who also teaches wcs, first dance with him ever , first wcs ever done at that event, 150-odd people in the room very curious to see what we were doing…! I knew him but not well and we hadn't discussed wcs much before, and as I was a beginner he was asking me all these questions and my mouth and brain were completely immobilised

The danger time for me with table sweets is if I'm not dancing, because then they look at me and jump into my mouth when I'm not expecting it. That's another good reason for asking leads to dance rather than waiting to be asked!

....So my tip of the day is to make sure you go to freestyles that have lots of dance, as opposed to table, candy!

I wonder how many tins of quality treats are in UK bins in January

I've left 30% of mine in the cuboard

How much weight do people in the UK lose in January I wonder

A guess I would say 200,000,000lbs (ave 3/4 lbs per person)

On the TV NOW... 'Could you eat an Elephant'

Its enough to put any 'normal' person off of food for life...

I couldn't watch anymore, I've had to turn over!

Tried yoga a long time ago couldn't be doing with it. All that dog up dog down nonsense when I tried it was more like dog run over and left for dead.

I think my name reflects more my style of dancing - double pretzel anyone?

I'll never forget once I was eating a Twirl.

Ghost asked me to dance, so I not knowing what to do with it I shoved the rest of the Twirl in my mouth.

It took the whole of the dance for it to melt in my mouth.

If you've danced with Ghost, you'll know that I was completely safe.

    Sublime

I think your name sounds very practical, to the point, and stands absolutely no nonsense! Not like some of these airy fairy names...
