    Hmm, I like this idea...

Don't forget Babylon 5 and Firefly/Serenity, which would give plenty of opportunity to find something different (and still dance-worthy)

Will they play "I Lost My Heart To A Stormship Trooper"?

Stars fits in well with the Eclipse Theme.

Will "Stars" encompass film stars and pop stars?

Got say I am really getting quite excited about Skeggy.

I am very keen to see what Johnah and Wes have planned for us all.

After going to all the Soutports I regret I must admit to being a Skeggy virgin.

The virgin tag will disappear for us all soon enough though.

Sadly Mrs Par and I will not be doing big things in the fancy dress field at Skeggy... we want to dedicate our waking hours to dancing ...really getting excited though and looking forward to seeing the new venue... the website gives us a clue but can't wait to see it for real.

    see you all there..U.P.

Am looking forward to this too now that i have taken the plunge and booked up.

Word of advice though: give yourself plenty of time for travel. My mum lives halfway between Peterborough (where you would leave the A1 if travelling from the South) and Skegness and when I went to see her on Boxing Day it was a very frustrating drive - mostly single carriageway, very few safe overtaking points, a lot of 'sunday drivers' and I know also from bitter experience that the Lincs Police are very keen on speed trapping

Actually, A1 to Newark, A46 to Lincoln [dual carriage way all the way], A158 to Skegness is much easier. Nearing Skeg, pick up signs for Butlins.

Hadn't thought of that. It does add 45 miles to the journey (according to AA route planner so prob can give or take a few) but in terms of time probably doesn't reflect that disparity.

I'd thought about the extra miles too - adds 50% to the length for me - so I'm going direct even although as Rob says it is slow and frustrating. The cure for me is to take the day off on Friday so I can set off from home around lunch time and get there nice and early for a bit of exploring and orientation!

Also the roads are very flat and windy with rather large, deep drainage ditches close to the road. If you can do the drive during day light hours it would be alot safer.

Hmmmm, I can't find a vomit smiley although I suppose it was to be expected as it is Valentine's Day that weekend.

Well, I hope nobody's going to impersonate the sinful archer - that's going to be a nuisance to dance with
