But then surely its hats off to ceroc that someone could manage to , in escence, re-create the hoover. There are very few companies who have managed this in recent years - mainly becuase people have become more "educated".
    Apparently.

Ahem ... I believe the genric term is LeRoc. As the wiki article alludes to, the term Modern Jive was coined by a 'breakaway faction' who simply took 'Ceroc' but wanted to teach it another another banner, allegedly. The real story of LeJive is quite interesting, but far more contentious

Yeah, they had to find some way to "associate" with ceroc.
Whats the scoop on LeJive then ?

You are right about contentious. However Le Jive did not "simply take Ceroc", they changed many of the moves slightly, renamed moves, and introduced a few of their own.

    Try typing "hoover' into www.dictionary.com

"aspirin" does reveal it was once a trademark, 'biro' does not even mention Mr Biro or tradename. Xerox have fought against becoming a verb for decades.
    Yeah, OK mate

Indeed so - the Ceroc entry is, in the main, biased nonsense

And succeeded I would have thought, I have never ever heard someone use "xerox" when they mean "photocopy".
