The YouTube elves must have heard you. The soundtracks on several of the clips on this thread have been disabled due to copyright infringement

I'd guess that roughly none of the MJ clips on youtube have permission to use their music in a recording. Will future generations think MJ was a type of mime dance?

Very good link thanks David. Nice job from them too. You can see the heavy influence of West Coast Swing in their dance especially lots of Jordan and Tatiana and Micheal and Jennifer too.

A very rare example of an MJ YouTube clip where the technical quality of the actual filming is as good as most WCS clips.

As has been said already there is a lot of WCS influence in this routine, especially J and T but I guess that just shows how good MJ is at absorbing, borrowing and assimilating other dance styles. Nice to see

There's one of Rubyred and Blueshoes dancing at the recent Ceroc Scotland Champs.

Can anyone put it up here?

It's well performed and far better than I could ever do (just to pre-empt those who feel you cannot comment on something if you can't do it as well/better) but I can't say I liked it. At least two things in the first couple of minutes were lifted straight from J&T routines and my issue with that is that it simply makes me think how much better J&T do their routines. It's almost certainly an unfair comparison but it's how it makes me feel. Whether there are sufficient other people in their target audience who'd feel the same would determine, I suppose, how much of an issue this is for them.

I suppose people are bound to make a comparison if alot of the patterns are used in someone else's routine. The MJ couple did a great dance as we have both said. I suppose if you are going to lift anything you may as well do it from the best. J&T being a professional partnership then their timing is going to be alot better as well having better body discipline and have an understanding of the relevance of fitting the dance to the music and not through it.

Putting together a routine or even learning what goes into routines from the top professionals is a great way to learn and advance yourself as a dancer.
