    The Bargain Hunter

    If this thread takes off, it could save us a lot of mullah. Also time and hassle.

    We can tip each other off about bargains -

    My 2 tips today are -

    Woolworths - half price toy sale

    Tesco - half price Cockburns Reserve Port. £5 something.

    If you are with Eon for power get Tesco's points from your bill.

    With the tesco vouchers swap them for vouchers for restaurants at £2.50 tesco voucher = £10
    The Slug n lettuce used to be part of that deal but are stopping but still loads of others.

    club card deals are great you get 4 times your clubcard vouchers worth in all sorts of thing for example we have joined the english heritage for £16 worth of vouchers and we have done £50 worth of cafe rouge vouchers for £12.50

    Another good place to look for deals and bargains is martin lewis' money saving expert website where he posts offers, bargains and deals such as these

    I got it wrong, it's Crofts Indulgence. I can highly reccomend it for keeping out the cold.

    I have joined that.

    They advise not to give gift vouchers for Xmas presents in case the shop goes bust.

    Was sent an email from petrol prices.com with this link today
    I dont know if anyone is interested Its an online voucher site for things like
    10% off IWantOneOfThose and Firebox.
    18% off Thorntons
    15% off The Body Shop
    40% off La Redoute
    ... and others from Dixons, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Tesco, Mothercare etc

    I'd say, before your sucked in to any bargain on the high st, go home and check the item (with exact model no.) on the internet.

    I've always found that the shops can't match the price, even though they'll say, 'never knowingly undersold', when pushed on this, they admit, they don't include internet shopping.

    There is a link to cheap rail tickets on Martin Lewis

    £5 rail tickets.

    - a tenner to Edinburgh and back, and other stations

    They have to be booked online though.

    Ends Monday.

    The tickets can be booked for dates between Mon 5th Jan to Friday 27th Feb
