I dress Gav too. It's got to the point where I forbid him to go clothes shopping without me, otherwise he comes back with, what can only be described as a clowns outfit or a selection of T-Shirts from Chavs "R" Us.

Probably, but a dolly can't mow the grass or decorate the hallway.

    Re: Fashionista Follies

I adore fashion and always get told i look like iv stepped off a catwalk, but sometimes i can be unique, i live in hats were not allowed to wear them to sixth form but i do all the time!

anything thats in fashion i have, being a collegue at peacocks i like to represent the look, that we display in the windows or magazines but il only go for things in fashion that do suit me

    Fashion autumn trends 2009...

Biker: Cropped leather jacket because im petite.

Tartan: Red bright snappy mini skirt and blue and red pinafore with petticoat rockabilly style dress, defiitely not sporting the trousers or the blazers,

Metallics: Three colourful metallicy subtle dresses and a wonderful gold top from seksi dance wear,

Shoes: Knee highs, mary janes but i will not be wearing courts, i dont suffer for fashion

Circus: Sequinned waistcoat, baggy grey jumper with stars, but not those stupid shiny leggings, i feel more like an elephant in them than an acrobat

so there is becci's boosts for fashion guide.. go for the trends but only what you feel comfortable with!

also hourde, ok so ponchos are back in but theyl be out faster than you can say "Ceroc" (how cliche!) but i refuse to get rid of my leopard print, eighties style t shirts and checks, you just know theyl be coming back like the spice girls...

e.g i have two tartan items in my wardrobe
but i will not be wearing those shiny leggings everyones mad about, i look more like a circus elephant than an acrobat.

the latest fashion statement iv been doing is buying mens shirts from charity shops, some of them go perfect with waistcoats and my new knee highs. they can look effortless and glam and i love to make a statement

    i dont

I read that the new hip winter footwear in New York City is the Wellington!

They found that riding boots have slippy soles and the UGGs get wet.

(has anyone danced in riding boots?)

The biker boot is hip in London, apparently.
The wellies are probably the natural extention of the Crocs shoes http://www.betts.com.au/catalogue/ladies_crocs.aspx(not sure if you have them there...). I haven't bothered getting a pair - not really sure about the "breathability" of them for your feet. Besides... I really love my Birks!
No one in their right mind would wear their Ugg boots out in public in Sydney! (unless they're what we call "bogans" or "westies" http://www.bogan.com.au/definition/index.php)

I read that the white dress is the new black dress for this Christmas - with black shoes, bags and accessories.

Wondering whether to wear white to the Black and White Ball?

I love black because it is so slimming.

most white items seem to have a magnet in them and seem to attract stains you never even thought of!

    Re: Fashionista Follies

I hate fashion, and I absolutely detest shopping.

I can hardly ever find anything I like, and it's even more rare to find something that actually fits properly. If, by some miracle it actually fits and I like it, it's either a completely crazy price, or I take it home and discover it completely loses it's shape after the first wash.

I'm always trying to find new tops to wear for dancing, that are sexy and sparkly and NOT black. Unfortunately, most of the sexy, sparkly tops are either strapless or halterneck, which is completely out of the question, or they're a horrible material (or colour), or simply don't fit me.

And don't even get me started on trying to find nice shoes if you can't wear high heels.....

High heels (more than 2 and a half inches) are bad for the spine. The body is thrown forward. Backs, knees and calves suffer added stress.

Does anyone know anyone who has had their little toes amputated so that they can wear Manolo Blantiks?

    UGG is an Australian company.

The new Bogans are going on sale today at the new UGG shop at Westfield.

Extra security guards have been employed in case of a mad rush.

Has anyone been to the new Westfield Shopping Centre at Shepherd's Bush?

.....meanwhile, things are not going well on Oxford Street.

Large stores there are opening thier doors at 7am tomorrow and offereing champagne and presents to lure customers inside.

In the USA they have designed shoes with heels for toddlers.

Meanwhile...........for fashionistas who frequent pubs and clubs in Torquay, Devon.
Police will give you a free pair of flip flops if you are drunkenly walking home at night in high heels or bare foot. This is so you don't injure yourself.

I bought one of those from ebay too - lovely dress ... it fit beautifully around the waist and hips (usually the problem areas) but couldn't fit the puppies in.

Whilst Mr Darcy thought I was bursting out in a most exciting manner I employed my usual phrase of "just because it does up does not mean it fits!!!"
