I've just had a friend request from a Gazza Forge.
I don't recognise his pic. We have ~20 mutual friends. One of these has told me she dosn't really know who he is . . . .
While I'm waiting for him to reply to my mail - anyone heard of him??
He's the guy that runs the GazzaBash charity do's - does them down in Bromley Kent for sure!
I've had a Timmy Rogers ask to be a friend on facebook, I have over 20 friends in common that go ceroc. Ive asked a few of them and none of them knows who he is.

I often get people chat to me at dance events that I think are complete strangers, because I have the memory of a goldfish and am not particularly good at remembering faces. I have accepted requests from dancers that I don't recognise, if they have a fair amount of friends in common, cos the chances are I have met them but can't remember them!
This happened just a couple of weeks ago in my local pharmacy, when the Pharmacist asked me if I enjoyed Bliss! I had to admit that I didn't recognise her, she said 'I'm Kate!' A few minutes later it all clicked into place who she was. I have met her lots of times but she had a different hairstyle!! Often the pics on peoples profiles make it impossible to see who it is and we rarely know surnames of dance acquaintances.
Timmy Rogers has 91 friends in common with me! I guess it depends what you use Facebook for and what info you have on there. I have nothing on there that I would worry about a complete stranger seeing and use it mainly for chat and events.
I've got another one now... Alan Doyle, any idea's anyone

Me too! If I have a lot of friends in common then I reckon I must know them, and usually once I look at a few pics I realise I do, have seen them at weekenders etc but maybe didn't know their name etc. I like doing this actually as then I do know their name and know them a little better for when I do meet them again.
He's on the forum so can probably answer for himself. Lives in Dublin.

I have him as a friend i thought he was from here due to the amount of forumites who are on his friends list i have just spoken to him on facebook he recons he is a member on here and i would know him from local clubs
BUT he wouldnt say either who he is on here or otherwise and when questioned he just logged out of facebook hence i am now going to delete him as a facebook freind
I think that's a good policy - I've deleted a few "friends" - people I didn't know, or who were simply using their friends for marketing purposes.
And if I don't know someone, I always ask them "How do I know you?" - it felt a bit rude the first time, but it's much easier now.
If someone asks you for ID do you say "why? I'm telling you, it's me"
