Lux - the Utopia luxury weekend

I'm really looking forward to this weekender too .

At the moment it seems the poll is around 50% teachers/DJs which sounds fantastic but also a bit scary . My ambition is to get a dance with Franck and Lucky and hopefully the classes will not be as huge as at normal weekenders. Loads of classes and freestyles, no cooking/washing up, comfy beds and no need to change shoes - what's not to like!

Surely more people are going ?

I booked the freestyle package but unfortunately my host for the weekend has had to pull out. Can anyone offer me a sofa/bed/floorspace for the Friday/ Saturday night? Otherwise I'll be selling my ticket as it's not practical to do the drive two nights in a row on little or no sleep!

i'm not sure what the bedrooms will be like or the floor space, but you can come in with me i'm sure we can squeeze you in, if I don't sleep or get a bertter offer you can have my bed

I am sharing with fa friend (man) but i'm sure he won't mind he's quite relaxed about life.

Sorry Fletch, but the LUX FAQ's are specific on this: All rooms have a maximum capacity of 2 adults per room and this rule will be checked by hotel staff and strictly enforced as it would invalidate the hotel’s insurance policy.

So do they have spy cameras in every room, or do the Hotel staff do regular patrols during the night waking up all the inmates so that they can count how many people are in each bed?

Thanks for the offer Fletch but I am sorted now and it stands to reason that it would be unfair for someone to stay in the Hotel that hadn't paid to do so.

I don't know, but the patrol sounds like fun!

Seriously though, the whole validity of the w/e is based on us adhering to the terms and conditions laid down by Hotel and it's our responsibility to pass those on. It's not meant to be heavy handed but we would hate to be in a position where the Hotel don't allow us to run further events on the back of the actions of a handful of people who may decide to sneak people into their rooms. As Cruella says it's also not really fair to everybody else who has paid for a residential space.
