The thread about upcoming 2009 weekenders seems to have been lost in the BFD so I will start this separately.
I was interested to see the flyers around the Winning Post on Fri night advertising Lux, the luxury Utopia weekender. It's 26-28 June 2009 which is the week after JA's Eclipse and a week before Ceroc's own Chill is scheduled so the weekender market looks to get even more crowded though this looks like an attempt at a slightly different experience. The venue is not being made public yet but I believe there will not be any real geographic clash with the events it is sandwiched between. Full details inc. location and teaching schedule will I hope, be up when the website opens 1st Dec. Fair play to the Utopia team - they could rest on their laurels with the successful nights at Twickenham but they do keep trying new things - S'Funk, Twisted, Dusk til Dawn, etc
Will that be enough of a plug for a free ticket or do I need to come to the stage wearing a poppy in the next 5 minutes?
I would have been very tempted to book this weekend but it clashes with Glastonbury which is probably one of the few things I wouldn't miss for dancing! Give me a muddy field, some Brothers Pear Cider and the Jazz World field anyday (If Utopia run another weekend though that would be good too haha)
Oooh, I can't wait for more details on this one.
I wonder where the location will be. Any guesses?
Maybe we'll just have to accept that not everyone can go to all of them (though am sure that Fletch will give it a d@mn good try!).
I wonder how many weekenders people actually like to do in a year. I think I'm happy with 3, particularly as that'll use up at least 6 days holiday wtih one day each side, and there are other places I want to go too, not just Pontins!
Maybe this needs a new thread, but how many weekenders do other people actually want/expect to do in any one year?

This all assumes that the hotel featured on the website & flyers is the one that they will be using...........
.....but then that's a reasonable assumption to make I guess
OK, I've got to ask - what's with the Wispa?
Perhaps they're moving into the minor (in terms of attendance) weekender type market (as in the Rock Bottoms), rather than seriously clashing with the major bracketing weekenders.
Compared to Rock Bottoms it seems to be in the London area (I assume the price differential will reflect this) and might not include Sunday night (so it might not require any time off work).
