11.45, BBC1 - Rabbit proof fence
I can't recommend this film highly enough. Not sure how it will transfer to TV, but when I saw it in the cinema, it was one of the most beautifully shot films I've ever seen.
Add to that one of the most astonishing stories of triumph over adversity, and it's unmissable.
I CANNOT, for the LIFE OF ME, understand why it's being shown in the middle of the night. Sure, it's got some harrowing stuff. But really, this is a film that should be shown at 7pm at night.
Every month, in fact, so that some of the message - about how people can be savagely brutal even when they think they are being jolly good chaps - might get through.
I watched this on DVD a couple of weeks ago. An amazing true story.
