Aint Nowt wrong with a bit of Glenn Campbell. I have on my MP3 player (amongst others.. Rhinestone cowboy.. Galveston.. etc)

Just because it's old and a little bit cheesy it doesn't make it bad.. otherwise there'd be no hope for the likes of you and I then would there

OOooh yeah, I LOVE that one. Haven't heard it for years, must down load some Hue & Cry stuff.

I went to see them live a few times at Cambridge Corn Exchange. Pat Cane has one of the most magical, powerful, soulful voice I've ever heard. He's a bit sexy too.

I'm partial to a bit of Country & Western
Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Tammy Wynette and the one with the big boobs, her name slips my mind.

I heard a band playing Jolene at an Open Mike, and the singer was so good I had tingles going up and down my spine.

The strange thing was he was a male singer.

Maybe Jolene would have to be a transversite and the male singer gay for a man to sing that song.

I know he's Mr Weird but 'Off The Wall' by Michael Jackson - nearly wore out the stylus on my hand-me-down all in one portable turntable amp and speaker.

And Elvis is still the King

    I forgot about that one.
When I was a kid I had to share a room with an uncle (we had to eat gravel for breakfast etc...) and I played all his albums while he was out and Squeeze - 45's and Under was by far my favourite.
That led to a bit of an obsession where I bought all of the Squeeze albums I could find.
That led onto a love for Jules Holland's music which developed into my love for big band music and now my sporadic attempts to learn Lindy Hop so I can dance to it! (one day, hopefully )

Jules Holland owns a house along Winchelsea (between Hastings and Camber). My old housemate's best friend was Jules Hollands daughter, Rosie.

I remember buying a lilac vinyl single "Up the Junction". Was living near Clapham Common at the time and thought it was hot.
Still got it, and it stands the test of time.

Yeah I got that as well - and my fav. Squeeze songs are:

    - Black Coffee in bed (produced by Elvis C. and you can hear him wailing "no milk, two sugars" as the track fades out

    - Tempted

    - Pulling mussels from a shell

And of course, Labelled with love - telling a life story with an economy of words.

For any fact fans Up the junction is only one of two songs to get in the top ten where the title of the song is only mentioned as the last line of the song. The other one is Virginia Plain by Roxy Music

Also there are only two songs ever to get in the top ten that mention Camber Sand. Pulling Mussels from a shell being one ("They do it down on camber sands, They do it at Waikiki" (I assume they don't mean Ceroc Weekenders)) and the other song is Heavy weight Champion of the world by Reverand and the Makers

Pulling Mussels is written about the time spent in Camber on holidays and is the only song in chart history where all the band and vocals come in on the first beat of the song !!!!
