    Dance shoe shops in London

I am visiting London in two weeks and wondered if anybody could guide me in the direction of BEAUTIFULL DANCE SHOES? Somewhere central please as I come from a little village called The City of Dundee and I am sure to be over-awed by the big city!
Also what is the best way to purchase theatre tickets, box-office or on-line?
thanks in anticipation of lots of advice!

Dancia have moved to 168 Drury Lane. They do a range of shoes called Dance Amo which are very reasonable.

If you don't mind travelling a bit outside London, there's always:
    Supadance in Buckhurst Hill, http://www.supadance.com/acatalog/Our_Location.html
    and
Heavenly Dance Shoes in Watford, http://www.heavenlydanceshoes.com/contact.html
Both are not that difficult to get to by tube/train.

    For theatre tickets, try
    http://www.lastminute.com/site/entertainment/theatre/
especially their half-price offers. You can browse & buy easily online and collect the tickets at the box-office just before the show starts.

    Have a great time!

There is also a good shop in Scarborugh. It is on Falsgrave, a shopping street.

Bloch trainers were £10 cheaper than in London when I was there 2 years ago. The sales assistants wear them and will give you a twirl around to test your shoes.

Blochs and Freeds are made at a factory in Hackney near where I live. I went there once to see if they had a factory outlet shop, but they don't.

Also in Hackney, on Well Street, is Freed's Head office. They don't sell shoes from there, but gave me a nice brochure of all the shoes they make.

For theatre tickets, try the Half Price Ticket Booth in Leicester Square. Make sure you get the right one, as there are some other non-official ones. It's a block to one side of the square, looks like it might be public toilets actually, and has one side for matinee's and one side for evening performances - you can only buy tickets on the day of the performance. I've used it loads over the years, and always had really good seats (stalls normally) for half the normal price.

Be wary of the ticket touts around there as well though. If you want to see the big musicals, you often have to book well in advance, but there are always some around trying to sell you tickets.

As for dance shoes - I've actually bought several pairs from this shop in Aberdeen. I think you'd said you were going to the Beach Ballroom on the who's going where thread? They are really helpful and have a good range - I think I used to be one of their best customers when Beo was still living up there and I was visiting
