Interesting night at Luton Freestyle last night. Great venue with loads of seating and pretty roomy dance floor; excellent spacious toilets and cheap drinks and free water. I thought the music was great as ever from Marc - apart from one or two very fast clubby tracks. The only thing that stopped it from being an amazing night for me was the gender imbalance - not enough men . My best dances were with DTS and Gerry but I was not very much thrilled by other dances. A highlight was DTS arriving in a full Russian Military get up - coat and hat . I know it was a little chilly last night but it was hardly Siberia! I had my hair straight so some people failed to recognise me initially ... which is always fun . Lower points were DTS pointing out I had arms like an ape ( hopefully not as hairy), and Gerry praising up Batgirl's dancing whilst I was fluffing up moves with him!

Went to Negracha's last night for the first time, fabulous evening. Not daunting as I thought it would be. Definitely recommend it for those who are breaking in to Tango especially on a night when LGTN meet there.

Re: Who's going where? Weekend 3rd/4th/5th October 2008

Well, despite feeling a little poorly, I got to Negracha's last night, and I'm very glad I did. The atmosphere was great, lots of dancers there, and it was good to get ZW and JayJay deflowered

The music was pretty good downstairs, although it could do with some more human intervention - I'm getting a little bored of hearing the Otros Aires CD in its entirety now. We need to let ZW loose on the system methinks

Great night - I think I danced more Tango than I ever have at a milonga before. Percentage-wise, as much as I'd normally dance MJ in fact.

It was great to finally meet MsHedgehog in person also - her far more comprehensive review is here:
    MsHedgehog: Negracha @ Wild Court

Can't wait for the next meet - provisionally booked for the 31st October.

Re: Who's going where? Weekend 3rd/4th/5th October 2008

I went to Gloucester last night, and as always I had a fab night.

it was very different for me this time, I didn't dance on Friday, so this seemed like a Friday to me, I don't dance to good on a Friday.

There weren't so may people there last night, I like the floor a bit emptier, all the strange folk were all still there.

Dottie you were right his nails were very sharp, lets hope he gets them cut now.

Totaly awsom to eventually meet 'the crazey 1' yes the girl herself Crazey Shark, well hun if you can dance with the raining UK champ (two years on the trot, and the youngest ever) you can dance with anyone.

Pio Boy thanks for the dances and you look really happy.

Whitebeard, are dances are getting better and better, don't you think?

Shaz and Shannon, we didn't get long for a catch up, but we will at the weekend.

Has a fab WCS with John Baker, (well my interpretation of it) and fab set as usual.

MarkW fab to put a name and face together, thanks for the dance, we always do but didn't know who you were till last night.

    Georgoius Dancer and Paul.........see thread.

see you all at Breeze how many sleeps

I was there - I've never had the nerve to ask you to dance - but who are the strange folk?

Well, they do say practice makes perfect (long may the practice continue) and you're one of a small band of ladies who really tease me to stray out of the 'moves' loop. Atitude; is what brings a dance to life.

Attitude personified was the would-be senora who grabbed me for a nutango track and fair ravished me with her passionately sultry gaze and stylised lascivious latinity.

Yup, it was 'Glorious Gloucester' last night.
