Whats your fantastic word for the day

Inspired by the Adherent word used today i thought i would see how many of us can come up with lovely words relevant to dancing that we dont use on a day to day basis with a little quote showing an example of what that word would mean.

Here is my word for the day....UNDULATING

Most startling was the dancer's exposed, undulating abdomen, which she could adroitly activate while hardly moving her feet.

Come on you clever Forumites feed us some new words......

    Good idea for a thread!!

My word of the moment is "Halcyon", just conjures up images of happy memories

BTW - if you go to Merriam Webster's homepage and subscribe to their Word of the Day, you get a new word in your inbox every day. A must for geeks and literature peeps like me

ZONE does it for me, because when I am in it, I never want to leave it.
Turned up late for the bbq at SP because I was well in the ZONE and just could not leave the dance floor.

    "Pulchritude" -as in:

"DTS is a connoisseur of pulchritude in both women and men on the dance floor ..."

    OR "Scintillating" - as in:

"Anton du Beke's footsteps were scintillating on the dance floor".

Not sure if I have used either correctly but I kinda like them .... no doubt RobD will correct me if necessary!

    Easily distracted .....

    discombobulation

a word to roll around your mouth, to take your time over. It's such a soothing word for such an uncomfortable feeling.

Cool Re: Whats your fantastic word for the day

Can you really beat the word 'dollop'? It's almost onomatopoetic in its ability to conjour word into thought. As in:

"Dylan's freshly severed testicles looked somewhat lonely in the small crystal bowl until Victor topped them off with a liberal dollop of clotted cream." - The Himalayan Vet by J.D.W. Stutterland
