DTS has already posted but I felt I had to add to it (got to get the last word in- obviously)
Went to Evesham with DTS last night for my first exposure to Utopia.
Wow - The dances I had were amazing - talk about raising the bar! I was blown away by the skill and expression of the fanastic dancers!
Board Rider - you have to have a mention as you spent time helping me to find my feet and were so generous with your dances - thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
Poi Boi - now I know why DTS is so complimentary about you - Thanks for showing me musicality and smoothness.
Steven666 - Wow - your lead is great and your style is unique- really enjoyed tagging with you and Board RIder.
Fletch - Although my leading is fairly dull and basic you made it effortless and stylish - loved our dance and would like to lead you again.
Lovely to see Sway, DianaS, TwoTone, MartinHarper, Marc Forster, Cruella and Whitebeard (and everyone else who I have forgotton). Starting to remember all your forum names - real names will take me longer! Thanks for making me feel welcome hope to see you all again soon.
Can't wait until the next one.
Rachel

Always magnificent and slightly scary!
Thanks

Yup, Simon and I hadn't been for a few months, but made it last night! Lovely to see you Di and Linda - been such a loooong time! Oh and thanks Di for leading me in WCS - you are a very good leader!
Great dances as usual and lovely to meet some more forumites - although I didn't meet Batgirl and Stephen 666? Another time maybe!
Oh and best comment of the evening by far was from DTS - he asked me what my status was: single, married or lesbian - great conversation starter!

Well, in the end I did dare and although I find nightime driving rather scary these days it was so worth it.
My first Eutopia event and without doubt the best ever night of dancing for me. Afterwards I could barely totter back to the car.
The music was a revelation, and if I sat out a track it was invariably because I needed a well earned rest, not for any percieved shortcoming in the music as is so often the case for me. The dancing was fantastic and I just hope I was able to return at least some of the enjoyment bestowed by all those lovely followers.
Met for new, or matched known faces to, a few more forumites names; although some already mentioned below (or it might be above for you) I still haven't identified. Batgirl, you already know more than me ;-) Didn't know at the time, but DTS mentioning Twotone enables me to identify her retrospectively as someone I already knew by sight, although this was the first time we had dances - marvelous. As also was the lady from that general corner of the floor who really took diabolical liberties and 'toyed' with me unmercifully - I almost rolled over with delight ;-)
It's quite likely NG that we also danced, as I visited your upper left corner area a couple of times to request. But you'll know, as you have the naming advantage of friends who know me.
Your leading isn't dull, don't forget I dance with everyone
how about Saturday
scary ?? he's a pussy cat
don't worry i'll show you scary on Saturday
last time I take you around pointing people out, forgotten allready
Just back from Burton upon Trent.
what a wonderful night, but I have never had a bad night there, including the night TIAH refused me so badly.
We celebrated Joes birthday with a cake, and he got loads of dances.
Wonderful to see John and Wes + the girls thank you John from both me and Joe.
Brill dances, John, 'Wade in the water' a very challenging track loved it, I always love our dances, you give me time to play, hit the brakes, and don't fluff my hair up, can a girl wish for more?
Wes i'm not going the kabbab house with you again, how long did we have to wait, I hope yours was worth it, I wish I had settled for the bag of crisps in the car.
Caz and Donner, looking good considering you were both nursing a hangover.
Itsybitsy thank you for my warm up dance, only problem I never warmed up all night, I bet there will be loads of people loved it but I was cold.
I had two wonderfull dances with a guy called Ben.
Pat what a stonker of a set, not one duff track, loved it, loved it, loved it.
Come on guys give the girl a go at Eclipse i'll be there for the set.
Fab night at Burton.. Glad we didn't come for the kebab..we did find a 24 hour McDonalds on the way home
Loved having my hair curly.. thanx to Donna.. it was so worth taking an hour to do!
Great to see so many familiar faces there and to dance with them
Always have a good night.. to Pat and Nikki for organising such a fab night
Nope.. mine was not worth it , still got the smell on my hands today ..despiteWes i'm not going the kabbab house with you again, how long did we have to wait, I hope yours was worth it, I wish I had settled for the bag of crisps in the car.
bleaching them! What do they put in them??? Never again.
But yes, great night, great music, nice atmosphere, well done Pat & Nikky:
certainly be glad to be there again.
Though I read more than I tend to post on here I just wanted to say how lovely it was to meet and dance with forumites I hadn't met before at Utopia in Evesham; DTS, Dottie, Steve666, Poi Boi and Batnurse to name but a few. Fletch thank you for playing social secretary and introducing me - was much appreciated as wasn't on my usual form and was feeling unusually shy and even considered going home at one point! So glad I didn't...managed to keep going long enough for the dance floor to clear and got my mojo back. Utopia is fast becoming Evesham's only and best kept secret (I'm allowed to say that I live here!) - hope to see you back here sometime. Meanwhile I'm hoping to make it to Breeze so look forward to catching up again soon.
Well I finally made it to the boat this afternoon, and had a lovely afternoon's dancing. It was quite warm, the music quite mellow, which suited me fine.
Have to say that there is nothing better than dancing on deck in the September sunshine, with a slight breeze to cool you down watching the light slowly change

Sorry to break up the love nest type banter guys but I had to post about the Chill Out Dance I went to this afternoon at The Engine Shed in Wetherby.. Last minute decision but one of the best I have ever made... From the minute I walked in I was like "WOW" and I have to say that I sat out about 4 tracks in the entire 5 hours... Music was way too good to sit out.. Stopped to refuel and eat cakes!
Atmosphere and lighting was spot on.
Amazing set from Dr Chill ? Phil ? who I believe has played at SP and also Blueshoes... Nice little cabaret from George and Jaq WCS.. Great to see them having fun on the dancefloor.
Great to see familiar faces and to meet a new forumite - dunk - I think that is how you spell it!
Dances - spectacular all afternoon.
This event was billed as a similar to SP Blues experience and did it meet that.. hell yeah and beyond..
Listen up guys.. this is planned for the last Sunday of every month.. Dancedemon is on next time... The north has needed something like this for way too long.... Hope to see some peeps there next time!
Big to the organisers... BEST afternoon outside of a weekender EVER
I still can't stop smiling...
