Can a mod please change the time on the first option, I've put 8 instead of 6.

No, you're not going mad, you did put 6 - I changed it on request.

The mid slot, on reflection, should really be from 10pm to 2ish, which would be what some people would expect to do - arrive a bit after the start and leave before the end. If you're OK with that Cru (as you started the pole) can we ask DB to change it?

That's pretty rude, tampering with my poll (or pole, as Rocky says) without permission!
Thinking about it, why was it changed when the Utopia night starts at 6pm? Surely that means it's relevant?

Yes, you're possibly right about that, but as it's you I'll say no.

(Although if a mod wants to change it anyway that's fine, just don't tell him up there)

I asked DB to change it from 8-12.30am as opposed to the 8-12am it was originally (just to reflect the phased entry times). I never saw it as 6pm to 12am ever at the beginning..

I thought you had originally structured it that way to reflect the freestyle start times? But you're right, if you were going to massage your 'pole' correctly then it should have an option for: 'I'll be there early including the classes at 6pm and leaving when I damn well feel like.'

Please Mr Moderator can you change that middle slot? Now it's been pointed out it really doesn't make any sense. Should read:

I'm likely to do the mid slot, 10ish - 2ish.

Well, maybe. Perhaps I should see where Rochester actually is before deciding it's too far to travel

The chance to see the venue that has been praised so highly is an incentive but I really don't think you can create that weekender vibe (if that's the intention here) without the accompanying accomodation so people can dance til they are ready to drop and then just stagger back to the chalet.

I would love to do this, but I need to find someone (or two people) to pair up with who would be interested in driving down from M1 Junc 13 ish, and dancing from 10 until 5 or 6 ish, and staying over in a nearby travelodge. I think you normally check out at Mid day but you can pay extra to check out at 2PM.

I think the in-car music will have to be very up-tempo in this case.

Since Dance Junction is the regular venue where Obi teaches, if you really want that weekender feel, maybe you should ask him to run the quiz that you love so much...

I'll be sure to wear a crash helmet. It'll help to soften the blows from the size 9's and drown out some of the 'filler' dirge that's bound to get played

I'll be getting Rocky's size 5's oops oopside my head too at this rate

This could turn into a good old fashioned Medway Style Shoeing. I'll inform the rest of the crew and have the car park ready.

Dirge? That's quality lunchtime pub cheese I'll have you know!!!

I think it was an attempt at humour re: the music Obi..

And as for the quip about my shoe size that's rich coming from someone who wears Clarks shoes (seconds) and has child bearing hips..

Oi, there's nothing wrong with child bearing hips
They take some of the attention away from moobs

Clearly, humour is difficult for you to easily identify Rocky

There's a serious point there though, if you (the DJ team) couldn't manage 6 hours at Ashtons without a fair portion of that FD how are you gonna do it over 12?

    I have no Clarks shoes.

I do look like I am carrying a baby, that much is true though

It's actually 10 hours of freestyle, not 12, and we will also have the assistance of a fab guest DJ, Gary Turner, who IMO has a collection of some of the best tracks I've ever heard.

As regards, FD, you know that's a very subjective thing and you were the first to admit that you weren't perhaps in the best frame of mind that night.

Hope your baby's due before the event otherwise you're gonna be right misreable standing up for the duration..
