Greenclaws was the best! I loved how when they needed something, say to do some sewing, they could plant something related, like a button, put it in the magic tree and it would grow a needle and thread plant - how cool would that be?!

Playbus - What's the sign on the lollipop? It's the….[depending on the day]

    Why Bird Stop
    Playground Stop
    Dot Stop
    Patch Stop
    Tent Stop
    Poppy Stop

My favourite was the dot stop, for some reason I've forgotten. Also loved the Why bird, she was funny!

Simon and the Witch (I can still picture them dancing down the lane in the credits)

    Blue Peter

    SUPERTED!

    Sesame Street

Ah those were the days, when there was something decent on the telly!

Ah ha, it was called Choc-a-bloc (not that I've googled it or anything ) and was shown along with Bric-a-brac (the wind up toy one)

    Imaginative titles

Are we having this conversation as it's almost start of the university term?? It's one of the most popular things to talk about in your first week there along with: what halls are you in? and where are you from?....

Don't remember Sylvester McCoy - googled Tony Hart to jog my memory and I think it was actually 'Take Hart' that I was thinking about and 'Hartbeat'. Loved the creativity.

The history of this is summed up pretty well at snopes. Satirist Victor Lewis-Smith was involved.

It's a good example of a Zombie Urban Myth, because even though it's generally well-known to be a myth, people still want to believe it's true. So it will never die.

Anyway, it ties in well with the, erm, unfortunate billboard advert campaign for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard...
