    Flying to Belfast

Does anybody know if you can use a photocard driving licence as ID between Luton & Belfast on Easyjet?

I've tried looking on the Easyjet website, but useful info like this is hard to find!

Driving licence should be fine but it's always worth having your passport with you just in case the check-in people decide to be funny with you and ask for a second form of ID...

I've never been asked for two forms of photo ID when flying before. Is this normal? Never seen anyone I've been travelling with asked for two forms of ID either.

I've always just taken driving licence if flying within UK and passport if flying outside of UK.

Exactly what I do. I just wanted to make sure they're not more strict. The reason being is that my passport & driving licence are in 2 different names, so I'd have to decide which name I was using to book the tickets

These days even scaffolders wear nail varnish, so I don't think it'll make much difference!

Thanks for everyone's help on this. I'm going to go with the driving licence option. I'm not sure when the trip is, but if there's a dance on, I hope I can catch up with Lynn & Drathzel!

No its not normal, its nonsense It's an internal flight, as they say. And a few years ago you would not have needed ANY ID

BTW, Belfast International is nowhere near Belfast and Belfast City is subject to a taxi surcharge as they have to go round a one way bit to get to the airport. odd.

CRM must look suspicious. They just don't want to let him on the plane... he might decide he wants to drive.

The International is outside of Belfast city a bit - but that's probably mainly cos Belfast isn't exactly very big! (I live in Belfast, and I am 20 mins drive from either airport.)

(If you are flying Easyjet it will be into the International.)

You've always needed ID flying in or out of Northern Ireland because of the Troubles - and just when they started to calm down, everyone got suspicious and you had to have ID anyway wherever you went.

Lou - let us know if/when you're over, I'll come and say hello

Right - we've booked flights arriving quite late on Friday 3rd October. Craig's taking an exam on Saturday, so if there's anything happening on that night, let me know!

Sat 4th? Nothing on that I know of, but I'm sure we could find somewhere to go and hang out with maybe some dancing...

I just read my post back & it was pretty ambiguous! I did mean the Saturday 4th!

That sounds fab - we'll sort something out closer to the date!
