Harrods & Selfridges have already opened their Christmas departments. Harrods Christmas Grotto tickets are all sold out for December - but if you rush you might still be able to book for November.
Given August bank holiday is now over we are of course in the Christmas period
I haven’t seen any Christmas stuff at Tesco yet or at my local garden centre
These are usually good bets for the first Christmas stuff (late August early September)
Any reports out there ?
With the Credit crunch I fear Christmas will start earlier then ever

I saw Christmas cards for sale yesterday in Milton Keynes (and not just the "Wishing you a Happy Christmas over the miles" ones)
I saw Christmas cards on sale in a shop in the Manchester Arndale centre on Saturday.
two words..
BAH and HUMBUG !
I've seen christmas cards and christmas gift wraps in some shops for the last week - even before some kids have gone back to school after their SUMMER holidays!!
This year I might actually escape family Christmas by joining a couple of friends and heading for the hills. Either stay in a bothy or hut somewhere, go for long walks, drink wine in front of an open fire, that sort of thing. Bliss.
it xmas already lol
....looks around for her presents, and finds only coals and rotten apples in the stocking......
I love Christmas!
I must admit I've already been mulling over the light display.............I'm afraid I'm one of the idiots responsible for Staffordshire's light pollution throughout December, lol
Not spotted anything in the shops yet, but thanks for the tip off
This thread is now closed till the 15th November
It feels like Christmas, I've had to restain myself form putting the heating on.
I've always wanted one of those black santa hats with BAH HUMBUG on it but I think for the first time in 25 years I'm gonna enjoy it.
Might encourage someone to help cut down on the light pollution in Staffordshire by turning the lights off once in a while some things are just better in the dark
Yes I hate to admit it but I am nearly looking forward to it!!
