He reminds me of one of those blokes you get at MJ who have been dancing for ages, but has absolutely no rhythm and yanks your arm our of your socket, thinking he's being all in control, then blames the follower when he fek's it all up.
I can't wait to see the look on his face when he gets voted off, because he is also one of those blokes who thinks he's a brilliant 'perfectionist' dancer. Take your two left feet Rhodes and fek off.
Felt sorry for Karen as there just seemed to be so little connection with Gary, though it improved slightly towards the end of the dance. John Sargent looked like a real gent, Tom was maybe trying too hard, but that one looks promising. Overall enough combination of talent and attitude between them all to shape up through the competition.
Girls - Rachel looked best to me.
I saw that J.S. was competing and I thought I could not enter a competition where I would be a handicap to a good dancer. Then I thought that surely he would have more integrity than that. Obviously he is not going to win, but on the basis of his first performance he has a real relationship with the music, and that shone through. I, too, thought he was undermarked.

Best quotes of the night -
Craig Revel Horwood had the nerve to say to Holby City Hunk Tom Chambers "Your Cha Cha Cha steps were a bit mincy"
To which Bruno Tonioli replied in his usual balls up of the English Language "You can takl! Talk about calling the Pope red". He added "I thought Tom's dancing was commandable"
Love this show. I've never watched any of the previous shows, but I felt I had to this season for fear of having absolutely nothing to talk to Gav about from now til Christmas otherwise. I'm glad he persuaded me.
Gillian Taylforth was pants wasn't she? Can't wait to see that car crash next week.
I know you didn't get to see much of the girls, but they all looked really clumpy and uncomfortable to me. I suppose you'll get a better idea when they do their individual thing next week.
The girls didn't impress me much as well
Of the blokes I thought Tom would be better and that Mark Foster looked a bit "stoopy" with Austin doing suprisingly well. His frame was good considering it's week 1 and I think his height will be beneficial for the latin dances
Gary Rhodes - car crash tastic
And what's with Erin - is it the same woman?? - surely she's had some "work", her teeth especially...
And - It Takes Two starts tomorrow
Blimey im glad you said that cause i said the same to my sister.... thats not Erin as i remember her.. what has she done to herself. She looks completely different but i can not figure out why... i think it is her teeth but not sure.
Great start to the programme though.. laughed my head off at the faces the men were pulling and Gary Rhodes... soooo bad but you couldn't stop watching..... cant wait to see the girls next week.... oh thats right.. i wont be here i'll be sunning myself in tenerife.... oh well... SKY PLUS moment..

Phil & Flavia were robbed.
I think so too I didn't think Don was very good, but really Gary should have been out.
