Re: Once Fancy Always Fancy? (just a little bit)

Funnily enough, I've just bumped into the guy I was crazy about at Uni.

We were good friends and fancied each other rotten but were never single at the same time. Nothing happened until we worked for the same company after graduation and had a drunken snog at the Christmas party. I've avoided him like the plague ever since.

I was working two doors down from him last week and thought, I'm sooooo over all that nonsense now, I'll go in and say hello. Within 5 minutes I was a blushing, giggling wreck and couldn't help notice that the man is still totally adorable

Managed to find a flimsy excuse to give him my number and he called me today. (about work stuff! )

    Oh hell yes!

There's only one ex boyfriend that I still fancy...sadly (for me) he's now spoken for .
All the others - actually that sounds awful, not that many , I wouldn't even want to share a taxi with, let alone anything more intimate!

You'd just need to get out and get one with a different driver

yes i think most people have at some point. I think that about my ex husband ... I look at him and can not understand how it happened. We were together 19 years. Its the strangest thing when you have had such a long term relationship to feel that way when it finishes.

Me too. *Biggest oxygen thief I ever met, can't believe I gave him the time of day, let alone married him.

*I've heard he speaks very highly of me.

I recently ran into an ex at a dance, we hadnt parted very nicely and it had been over a year sice we last saw one another. She still has the looks that made me burn, she stil was the fantastic dancer she ever was, but looks arent everything and you cant love someone just for their dancing. After a very breif one sided conversation, i realised she left me utterly cold, and apart from the "lust factor" I felt nothing.

Yes. While there are people I can look back and see 'yes, I know why I gave that a go, it was worth a try', there are others and I think 'what on earth was I thinking?!'. I think we can be blinkered by the chemistry side of things (plus I'm not very good at understanding my own feelings!) but there is one - at the time it seemed romantic and there was chemistry and connection and now looking at him I think 'no way!' and to be honest feel a bit sorry for him. And there is no attraction at all now, nothing. Just a faint amusement at myself that there ever was.

    Nope.

I can´t really think of anyone I used to fancy, that I don´t fancy at all now. Probably there are some, but none come to mind.

Some I fancy more now, in fact..

Yes, there are people that I used to fancy rotten, but they lose much of their attraction when several years later, they are still running in the same emotional circle they were when we met ... kills the chemistry dead. As for the people I've never fancied ... still feel the same way.
