2008 'LeRoc Champs' - Sat 26th July - Weston Super Mare
They also have a couple of new categories .......
LeRoc "Back to Basics"
and
Youth Freestyle Category - 14 to 21 years
Still no Golden one (over 60's or even over 55's) - there senior section is like the Ceroc Old Gits which is over 45 far too many good dances in that age group for the real old gits to stand a chance

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
Would love to go to this. Could anyone put me and Stokie up for 2 nights? We are very good house guests and even tidy up after ourselves.

It is great to see they have a youth category, as a lot of "under 18's" suffer from some champs lower age limit - possibly due to bar restrictions.
It could be that 14 is due to this as well, however I would love to see it as simply "under 18's" for all those who miss out so often.
I do not know of any age restrictions in the Aussie champs, I even remember a school team winning in 1999 the team event.
As to the old gits (senior section).... unfortunately I still do not qualify
Although if you wanted an "even older" one, maybe it could be called "The old fossils"

I was planning on competing, but now it looks like we can't afford it
Blueshoes and I are planning to go also, could anyone help with another two rooms . Like Twirly Bird we are also very good house guests and will clean up also. Or recommend a good B&B that is cheap but clean and cheerful.
Thank you
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done
I have stayed at the Martyndale suits and they are quite cheep and self catering.
Apparently, the only problem with not taking the LeRoc package deals is that if you are staying somewhere else, you'd have to sort the parking yourself. And the price (or so I am told) in the town is extortionate - something like £25 per day . With their package at least it's on site...

Parking in Weston is £9 per day - at least according to the council's website.
The NCP in Weston is £10 per day, but seems to close at 8:00pm according to their website.
The multi-story car park next to the venue was £20 for the day a couple of years ago.
