Grease is the Word! London Show

Went last Saturday, any one else been along?? who was playing the lead parts

I thought it was fun and easy going and the guy as Danny, acting in extra John Travolta looks(glares) were very good!!!
Sandy- nice but her voice wasnt the best sadly.

Size of show- wished it been ON a bigger stage for this production rather than a tight stage.

Did I enjoy it overall- you bet!! GREASE IS THE WORD!!!!

    now for an alternative

My son did a stage production of Grease last week at school so I'd really like to take him to see it in London. Problem is I cannot stand Ray Quinn who's starring in it at the moment.

He's the over confident Robbie Williams wannabe that was on X Factor with ridiculous eyebrows and big teeth.

I went years ago....Sonia was playing Sandy, Craig Mclachlan was Danny, Shane Ritchy was Kenickie (yes, he played Kenickie before he went on to play Danny) and my very good friend SallyAnn Triplett was Rizo

Fond memories... It was my daughter's 8th birthday and we went back stage after the show and Sally took us to meet everyone, including Craig Mclachlan in his BATH I didn't complain

i went years ago when Samantha Janus was Sandy, Shane Ritchie was Kenickie and Darren Day was Danny! It was funny because i found the programme the other day and discovered Samantha Janus was Sandy and realised she was now playing Ronnie Mitchell in eastenders...

My favourite character was Patty, partly because i was playing her in our stagecoach production. and patly because she was played by the gorgeous Tamzin Outwaite. Later went on to play Mel Healy in eastenders.

Ray only plays a minor part and what he does is ok. I saw him on his single "swing" concert tour at Brighton. I was more impressed with him than many well known performers only do the basics. He gave his all, thats all I ask when I see a concert, + off the cuff remarks, not rehearsed scripts!!

    Neg Neg Neg

can you get up and perform, give him credit!!

Hes not everyones cup of tea, I went because I won tickets to see his solo concert but you only saw him on TV.
I saw him live holding his own. I also saw Will Young after his win in his solo show, again impressive show. But then during during a party in the park show with others on the bill I went to see, all he pushed was his gayness (nothing against gays) and to me he over did it in front of kids and was wrong! He lost his creditibility then!!
