why not ? and why would this make him? You think he's go nothing better to do, like plan holidays to Scotland

Just spent some time chatting with the oh-so-friendly Virgin broadband technical support. (He sounded a bit like that guy who used to clean the windows in Brookside).

After the first line technical support couldn't work it out - he said:

"I'll have to put this one through to the geeks"

Then back to the first line guy said:

"My advice is to reset your router"

After that it went pear shaped - lost all connectivity - and he couldn't help to fix it. After I complained that I was following his advice, he said:

"Well it was only advice - I didn't tell you to reset it"



Well - I suppose that is technically correct........but he could have suggested some kind of contingency - or made me aware of the impact.
