Who's going where? Weekend 18th/19th/20th July 2008

Another pre-poll thread, this time for the weekend of 18th/19th/20th July (for people to suggest events they're interested in, before the moderators make it into a poll in advance of the weekend itself).

If you want an event to be in the poll, mention it on this thread, and please use the format as described by Lory below. Don't leave it to the last minute - the moderators usually seem to create the poll around Tuesday, so it's helpful if events can be mentioned on here before then.

Day - Event - Location

Please write the day in the three letter abbreviation i.e. Fri, Sat or Sun

My selection of events (mainly based on info from uk-jive) that interest me:

Fri - High Five Modern Jive Dance Social (Crosland Music) - Rugby

Sat - 'Fresh' Freestyle (Ceroc Central/Ceroc UK) - Leicester
Sat - 'Rat Pack' Party (Ceroc Midlands) - Hednesford (Cannock)

Sun - T Dance (Corporate Dance Company) - Bromsgrove
Sun - Smooth freestyle (The Blue Room) - Beeston (Nottingham)

The most interesting for me will be the freestyle in Leicester on Saturday - a new event, 2 rooms, late finish, good DJs, so I suspect I'll be giving it a try.

I'm going 'Clubbing' on Saturday night at a night club reunion in Welwyn garden City.

It's the first time I've been to a propper club for about 10 years. I have no idea what to wear (all my clothes are things I jive in), and I think I've forgotten how to muggle dance.

Step 1) Stand with weight on one foot.
Step 2) Exchange weight onto other foot
Step 3) Exchange weight back to first foot
Step 4) See step 2

I'll join the sore back brigade...... My back is for some reason playing up today, I have no idea what I've done to it! I'd actually rather stay at home and watch a nice film than go dancing..... But that would be bad....

Still no dancing for me - foot got infected and had allergic reaction to last treatment on it so all padded up again.

and even more depressing, Next having a great shoe sale today and i couldn't go in and buy any.. cant try em on
