Difficult to think of any that haven't already been mentioned but for me.........

When someone says "Would you like to dance" - it still gives me such a buzz
Someone saying "thanks, I really enjoyed that" after we've danced
Hugs - lots of them, there are so many wonderful friends I've made through dancing
That special 3 minutes when you and your partner just click to one of your favourite tunes - and at the end of it all you realise that there actually *were* other people in the room
Watching one of *my* beginners gain more and more confidence - it's the taxi-dancer in me, can't help it.
Tunes with a bit of dirty sax in them..............
Smiles - I love dancing with people who can smile
    Spinning well
The look on Des' face when he realised that Franck and I *could* dance to "By The Way" by the RHCPs

Funnily enough - at last year's Scottish Comp - realising I'd been paired up with Elliot in the Lucky Dip *swoon*

    And And And...........

That new skirt I bought for this year's comp,
    My silver shoes
and of course, those fabulously, strokeable, velvet trousers.....

the yes factor for me is

. when I get my dance fix.

. a night of great music and dancing in the company of friends.

. not feeling under presure and just really enjoying dancing to the music. I like it when I can have a laugh dancing with Bill.

. reading the moves and following well - . despite etiquie often saying its the mans fault - i know it is more often mine. :sorry

. A good blues record and being danced with by a partner with whom it clicks on the dance floor.

. a compatible dance floor with my shoes.

the feeling at the end of a dance night when I m soooo teird but have had so much fun.

For me it's when I play a new track that I've found, and people come up to ask me what it was........
And more recently..performing in the Alleycats cabaret team at Musselburgh, and listening to the crowd reaction....made all the hardwork worthwhile

Things that make me say yessssssssss!!!.....

An oldie but a goodie.....Being asked to dance

Double spins.....these are few and far between for me so when one sneaks up on me it makes me smile

Smoochy dancing with James.....(no one else better have this one on their list!!)

Hearing the track "In these shoes" and realising Franck is free.....whoo-hoo!!!

Super fast spinning with the Tramp

Managing to stay in my bikini top during the Scottish comp.

Swapping moves on the side of the dancefloor.

Coming off the dance floor feeling that everything was just *right*

And agreeing with Fran......that happy sleepy feeling after a hard nights dancing.....ahhhhhh

    Ummmm here are mine:

    Being asked to dance.
Coming off the floor and being asked to dance by someone else.
Being asked to dance by a girl!
Laughing *hard* all the way through a dance with a good friend.
All those kisses and hugs when arriving and leaving (I'm with you, Sheena!)
Dancing with someone I never met before and 'clicking'.
Dancing with someone I know so well I can lose myself completely.
Hearing a great new tune for the first time.
Hearing a great new tune for the second time and grabbing someone to dance with.
Getting to dance with someone I have been admiring for a while and not making an utter arse of myself (rare!!).
Going somewhere alone that I have never been to before and feeling the buzz all over again.

I could go on, now feel all warm and fuzzy about dancing - great thread!!

Oh I'm with you there John, I remember the reaction to our cabaret - it definitely makes you buzz!

Pretty well everything that's already been said on this thread, (I haven't tried the multiple spins with Trampy though.)
But after a reminder at RBs last w/e, as well as the losing yourself, there is the blues. Now in blues there's UCP, and there's "totally comfortable", and the 2 are completely different in the way they feel. Pretty rare to get that "totally comfortable" feel, as you have to know and trust your partner pretty well, and when you do, you just carry on for track after track into the not so small hours . . .

If anyone doesn't know what I'm on about, I'm willing to try and demonstrate at Camber, but rarely before 2 a.m.. :sorry (and Pammy, no snoring!)

For me it was a really good male dancer saying to me recently that he had been talking to another male dancer about me and that they were both surprised that I'd only been dancing for 3 months, cos I followed really well. I was floating about 2" above the dance floor for the rest of the night (plus I had trouble getting my head out of the door at the end of the night)

Re:Things that make you go yes

Lots of things already said but one of the best is asking someone to dance who i think has not been asked to dance for most of the night for whatever reason. To see the smile on their face and pleasure they get from me spending a mere three minutes cheering them up. Theres an older lady at one of the monthly dances who rarely gets asked to dance and each month i get her up and we both enjoy the dance.

Seeing my favourite partners at a venue.

Seeing some dancers that I love to watch at a venue.

Seeing a frown replaced with a smile.

    A favourite track.

    A new WOW! move.

    Doing something really right.

    A WOW! venue.

The joy of discovery, mine or other peoples.

Other people having a YESSSSSSSS!!! moment.
