er...World Domination ?
No idea. You could always ask the person who started it, what they had in mind at the time?
Ah, I see your problem.
Honestly, still no idea - I can't think of much "core functionality" that you can do in Facebook, but that you can't do here. Some of it's more easy to access in FB (e.g. photos), but I can't think of a killer app.
Maybe someone should develop one of those little apps things for dancing.
No idea what though.
Still stuffed with what to do with this group too David James the grumpy moderator appreciation society | Facebook
Why? Without another despotic regime to counter they're bound to win. In fact...maybe...they...already...HAVE
Me neither, or at the very least a "possible friend". It seems a facebook "friend" is different to a normal "friend" for some people.
hohohoho
how about a "how much do they suck?" vote ? The polls in here are poor and I'm sure you get more comprehensive polls in FB.Honestly, still no idea - I can't think of much "core functionality" that you can do in Facebook, but that you can't do here. This should have read..
I know a Local organiser that made friends with a dancer on Face book, and then abused that friendship to promote their Smooth Jive classes to that dancers non dancing friends on face book....
Um! Now I wonder who that was....
I am glad to say that this is not how any of the other local clubs operate.
Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see how this is an abuse of a friendship? Surely the nature of facebook is that you might link up with friends/acquaintances etc. There are loads of applications on FB that often require people to send things to their friends - they are then free to accept the application or ignore it. Surely the same would apply to anything they were sent that promoted Smooth Jive?
Yes you are missing something
Yes to THEIR friends, not other peoples friends without askingSurely the nature of facebook is that you might link up with friends/acquaintances etc. There are loads of applications on FB that often require people to send things to their friends
Why yes, you can choose to join a network if you're interested in dance - or anything else - what a good idea Hopefully no one will take the CHOICE away from you and send you stuff you didn't opt in to. After all its all about CHOICE isn't it.Originally Posted by Steven666
