Your memory is where you store your knowledge?

    IMO

Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance

A subject one has concluded you lack

There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first is excellent, the second good, and the third useless

    Congratulations on your bronze medal......

Whew. I was worried there for a second.

Wow, this is a really boring thread, I'm glad I just used up 2 minutes of my life reading it. I even find it difficult to believe that it's gone to 4 pages...

Yup. And not in a witty Amir-esque way, either.

Well that's understandable, but you're missing my point entirely...

Perhaps you may consider consulting your 'help' with regards your delusions of adequacy. Perhaps also check your local rag as I think perhaps there may be a village looking for you....

    Just a thought

Actually, it seems self evident that we can define them: Steven666 has posted an existance proof of that.

Of course, that doesn't mean the definitions will be any good...

And why did I not post them in the OP?

Correct answer wins some pos rep.

I think you might find the ability to regurgitate facts is called memory.

Knowledge is information gained from the world around us surely? Whether by formal studying, practical experience, or observation of life, people and situations. We choose how we get sources of knowledge - and of course a lot of it can be erroneous (for example if your main source of information on a subject is from a tabloid newspaper...)

I know some extremely intelligent people who don't have a lot of common sense. By your definition a lot of the great minds of ours and past generations are not 'intelligent'.

Correct answer but for the wrong reason. Close enough.
