I think you might find the ability to regurgitate facts is called memory.
Knowledge is information gained from the world around us surely? Whether by formal studying, practical experience, or observation of life, people and situations. We choose how we get sources of knowledge - and of course a lot of it can be erroneous (for example if your main source of information on a subject is from a tabloid newspaper...)
I know some extremely intelligent people who don't have a lot of common sense. By your definition a lot of the great minds of ours and past generations are not 'intelligent'.
