    Astrology musings

It's as if those soft-minded people actually think the person who apologised has actually become a better person than they would have been had they not done the thing they apologised for

Getting it wrong and then apologising is never better than having not got it wrong in the first place. But it is better than not apologising at all - unless that apology is insincere ...

    Well balanced... I thought so.

I'm Sagittarius - Sag itt arius. it does when you get to my age

Sagittarius often look at the sunny side of life and the silver lining to any dark cloud. Sagittarius are honest to a fault, for you can say what's on your mind before you realize that someone's feelings might be hurt.......Never

I believe in Astrology (onion.com of course)

    Your Birthday Today
Attempts at self-medicating with alcohol will once again completely fail to treat your rampant alcoholism.

    Aries March 21 - April 19
The stars were going to warn you about next Friday, but they've decided it would be funnier if you found out about the goats yourself.

    Taurus April 20 - May 20
You'll finally lose your virginity this week, though unfortunately for you, it will be to an active volcano.

    Gemini May 21 - June 21
They say no news is good news, but you're beginning to suspect there's a reason why those doctors keep avoiding your calls.

    Cancer June 22 - July 22
Embarrassment will be yours this week when you're caught peeking over someone's shoulder during an important test. The fact that it's a urine test also won't help.

    Leo July 23 - August 22
Your interest in temporal paradoxes ends almost before it begins this week, which considering the subject matter, is strangely fitting.

    Virgo August 23 - September 22
Exposure to bursts of gamma radiation will soon leave you with the tumor-growing ability of 10 regular men.

    Libra September 23 - October 23
You've always believed yourself to be filled with self-hatred, but as it turns out you're actually filled with half self-hatred, half triple-fudge ice cream.

    Scorpio October 24 - November 21
While you admit you've made some mistakes in the past, the clockwork regularity and strangely detached manner in which you do so is really starting to freak people out.

    Sagittarius November 22 - December 21
Your health will continue to decline this week due to your tendency to catch every little sniffle, cough, and axe that comes your way.

    Capricorn December 22 - January 19
Due to a series of budgetary cutbacks, your horoscope will be the same as Virgo's until further notice.

    Aquarius January 20 - February 18
Remember: A man is often known by the company he keeps. Take immediate action to shut down Wanton Bigotry, Inc.

    Pisces February 19 - March 20
Your grisly death beneath a pile of cinnamon rolls this week will prove true one of Nostradamus' least likely prophecies.

Amazingly, so am I. What further proof could anyone need that The Stars Are Our Masters, huh?

Perhaps we're opposing twins. The kind of twins who are not identical, but got one half each of the genetic material. We pull in opposite directions but need each other to have a stable orbit. Perhaps I'm a gas giant and you're a dwarf nebula with the same mass

Good. A little bit of practice and you can be completely sceptical.

French social scientists offered a free 'chart' to anyone in return for a promise to fill out a questionnaire which would be provided with the chart.
Regardless of the time, date and place of birth the candidates were provided with a copy of chart that had been purchased from a 'real' astrologer, drawn up based on Hitler's birth details (the astrologer didn't know this).
A staggeringly large percentage of the candidates reported how accurate their charts were.

You might also reflect on how astrologers in, say, the dark ages were able to make accurate charts when they didn't know about Neptune, Uranus and Pluto, all of which appear in modern charts. Not to mention the chaos they must have been thrown into at the discovery of two other bodies about the same size as Pluto are orbiting the sun between Neptune and Uranus.

Coming soon, to a cinema near you:

(Although I feel this is probably more a "straight to video" production, myself...)

I think he shrank my head.

And why, oh why do I always have to be the short* one?

Just once I'd like to be the handsome one that the pretty friend wants. Why do I always end up snogging the fat girl with B.O.?

*but more handsome one with better lines

p.s. I still have that suit.

I may be missing something here but how did this thread change from Astrology to dance teaching?

Does this sort of thing happen often?
