Whats on in Scotland Summer 2008?

    Hey Peeps

Does any one who attends ceroc in scotland know whats on in July and Aug, i have a few keen dancers who would like to do some traveling and if i am free i would like to come along too.

I dont see anything on the website but those in the Know could pass on their knowledge to me and my dancers.

(big kisses and cuddles for any helpful people)..... mmmm.... *drathzel tries to decide whether that will Encourage or DIScourage people*

Not sure of the dancing implications, but there's a wee gathering we affectionatley refer to as The Edinburgh Festival.

19th/20th of July there's the Beach Ballroom event with Lucky & Ruby teaching. (Shame I'll miss it.)

Late August, I think there's a new Edinburgh weekend event, in the same style as the Beach Ballroom events, at the Corn Exchange.

I'm sure Sheena will be able to fill in the gaps...

Well, Summer is set to be our busiest and best in Scotland ever. As Ducasi mentioned, there is the Beach Ballroom in July (19th/20th) with Lucky & Ruby. I'm flying them all the way from the States to be able to learn from their fab classes as I kept missing them at Blaze and other week-enders. We're also organising 2 special week-ends in August. I've typed a summary of the parties / events in Scotland over the Summer below (highlighting in Bold the important ones)

    JUNE

    - Friday / Saturday 6th/7th June: Focus Week-end Parties: Kirriemuir.
    - Saturday 14th June: Perth Party (The Hangar, Perth Airport) - Glasgow Summer Party On Tour
    - Friday 20th June: Aberdeen Party
    - Saturday 28th June: Edinburgh Party
    - Sunday 29th June: Edinburgh Tea-dance

    JULY

    - Saturday 5th July: Dundee Party at the Bonar Halls.
    - Saturday 12th July: Glasgow Party at Rutherglen Town Hall.
    - Sunday 13th July: Edinburgh Tea-dance
    - Saturday/Sunday 19th/20th July: Aberdeen Beach Ballroom Week-end with Lucky & Ruby.
    - Saturday 26th July: Edinburgh Party
    - Sunday 27th July: Edinburgh Tea-dance

    AUGUST

    - Saturday 2nd August: Dundee Party at the Bonar Halls.
    - Saturday 9th August: Glasgow Party.
    - Sunday 10th August: Edinburgh Tea-dance
    - Friday 15th August: Aberdeen Party
    - Saturday/Sunday 16th/17th August: Stirling Albert Halls, Workshops with guest teacher (to be confirmed soon) and party in the Albert Halls over the week-end (2 rooms)
    - Saturday/Sunday 30th/31st August: Edinburgh Corn Exchange Week-end with guest teachers: Stefano & Alexandra from Tango in Action. Stefano and Alexandra are regular visitors to Scotland and have taught brilliant workshops at the Beach Ballroom in the past, I can't wait to learn from them again.

    SEPTEMBER

    - Friday/Saturday/Sunday 5th/6th/7th September: Kirriemuir Focus Blues Week-end. 2 nights Dinner Bed & Breakfast week-end with 5 Focus classes on Blues dancing and techniques + Late night parties on the Friday & Saturday...
    - Saturday 13th September: Glasgow Party.
    - Sunday 14th September: Edinburgh Tea-dance.
    - Friday 19th September: Aberdeen Party.
    - Saturday 27th September: Edinburgh Party.
    - Sunday 28th September: Edinburgh Tea-dance.

I hope this helps your planning
    Franck.

    There's an A.P.P. for that!

They've put in a whole new day between Saturday and Sunday?

Of course, there are also the Aberdeen parties on 20th June, 15th August and 19 Sept. Maybe they're not the important ones

The last workshop should finish at 1pm but we are considering having a bbq-spitroast-outdoor dance (weather permitting ) on the Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm.

Edinburgh airport might give you more flexibility re flight times.
