Some "beginners" seem to manage wiggling quite well.

I am sure there has been a long thread about "Advanced Dances" before.

So what makes an advanced dancer?...the moves or the whole interpretation of the music, the ability to have a great fun dance and dance all night with a variety of partners of different ability.

Advanced moves is a strange term really, I consider myself to be a competant social dancer who enjoys my dancing and tries to let my partner enjoy her/himself within the dance.

I basically use 8 or 9 moves and a load of cheeky bits to spice and add fun to the dance.

At Southport I asked about 5 people to dance the rest of the time I was asked by regular and new people to dance.

I have reached a stage in my dancing where i can go into any Jive venue and dance all night and generally not have a bad dance.

Am I an Advanced dancer who uses Advanced moves? No way but I dance like a demon all night and have a marvellous time whilst doing my 8 or 9 moves.

Its a SOCIAL dancing scene folks, try not to get stuck on the labelling and just dance your little socks off.

If you as a lead are enjoying it your partner will enjoy it, what more is there to ask of dancing.
