Elucidate, please. When did the definition of a litre change and from what? Or are you referring to the refinements?

I think the explanation explains it.

Surely that was a punctuation error And your punchline was rubbish.

    Will I ever forgive "cloverbud"?
    Here's the thing.

Which bit of that is the explanation? What was the 'new definition'? What was the 'old definition? What was the 'wrong volume' you had in your brain?

Entirely possible that I'm being dim and missing the point you're making, Dep, but you simply responding 'I've already explained it' doesn't help me - clearly I didn't understand or I wouldn't be asking (over and over...)

And don't get me started on what the hell cloverbud's got to do with it.

He's talking about the explanation given on the website (that you linked to) for Q38 in the original quiz. (See Explanation)

I'm in my "far more scathing" phase, expect me to be rude, illogical and occasionaly obnoxious. I'll go back to "helpful and humourous" around July 3rd.

Incidentally, I was tempted to do a forum version of this

    Sorry Barry,
it now seems obvious you never read any of the answers given with the questionnaire.

    You 'do' helpful and humourous?

p.s. Punctuation is part of the system and structure of language (i.e grammar), so the misuse or non-use of punctuation marks is grammatically incorrect

Wow. Incorrect. I read some of them, but not all. Watch your inferences from fact!

using the info you gave, i.e. that you did not know where to find the explanation, I reached a conclusion that fitted the facts you gave.
    That's not unreasonable.

Perhaps not unreasonable, simply unsupported by the facts. Inferring from a single instance to a general conclusion almost always provides an inaccurate conclusion, and is always unwise.

As is inferring from a huge minority of extreme examples to a general conclusion, but it never stopped you dear .

The argument you are referring to isn't based on inference at all.
