How did the Grey Corries walk go?

I've just clocked off another 14 Munros last week..mostly very wet and windy! Only got 4 left now till finished them all so hoping to get them done next week!

If all goes to plan (famous last words!), Monday (hopefully!) it's going to be a long day to Beinn Mheadhoin and Beinn a' Chaorainn in Cairngorms (hopefully using a bike from Linn of Dee if I can hire one in Braemar); Tue Ben na Lap from Corrour Halt station, and Wednesday the final one - Ben More on Mull.

Then a celebratory dance at CEROC in Glasgow on Thursday?!

    That's some achievement well done!!

Didn't do the Grey Corries, Nigel fell off his bike on Wed evening and broke his leg, so that put the blocks on walking for the weekend but not to worry, the hills aren't going anywhere and I'm hoping to get out on Monday with Bill.

Sorry to hear about Nigel. Where will you be on Monday? I've hired a bike from Braemar Mountain Sports (01399 741242) and am heading into the Cairngorms to the two mountains mentioned in my earlier post.

    Hi Isis

I'll Look forward to it. [I just hope weather etc is in my favour for getting these last mountains done in time!]

Hi Morris, I'll be about 60k to the west of you, starting at Aberarder Forest doing Carn Liath, Stob Poite Coire Ardair and Creag Meagaidh. Bill can't manage Monday so I'll be out on my own, talking to myself.
I planned to do the Ben Starav 5 at Glen Etive but MWIS is forecasting rain later in the afternoon and as it's a 27k, 10/11 hour walk, I don't fancy a soaking; it'll keep for a dryer day. I should be able to do the others before the rain sets in (18k, 7 hours)
BTW, I've set the Naismith to my walking rate (incl. stops), I imagine you'd be a lot quicker.
Enjoy your day, I'm saving the 'gorms for later in the year, loads of snow

Hooray!!!! All 284 Munros now done! Finished yesterday (Wed 23rd July) on Ben More on Mull. Usual mist on top.... I don't think I've had good views from many Munros... they're mostly in mist whenever I've done them.

Judith joined me and we celebrated with a little bottle of bubbly and a dance move... the Supergirl! I've got the picture but don't know how to attach it to this post?!

Am in Glasgow now getting ready to celebrate with a CEROC dance but the clutch has literally just bust on my vehicle in the car park!! However.... dancing more important so I'm going to leave it till tomorrow!
    See you sometime.
