Anyone coming north for it?? We'd love to see you!!!
What a co-incidence! I'm taking a group walking/scrambling up Munros that week... driving up from the Midlands for several hours to get to Glen Shiel on that Saturday - Glen Shiel's probably a couple of hours drive from Inverness. So..... I can resist everything apart from temptation! Judith will join me in the drive up, we'll try to get to the Blues party on Saturday night, and she'll fly back Sunday while I go back to Shiel Bridge. Complicated... but worth it coz we love dancing with you folks in Scotland!

PS If anyone wants to join me climbing a few Munros that week just let me know!

Wish I could come, but the geography of my work-life will not permit .

I'm still paying for abandoning my kids for Blaze - I need to build up some more brownie points before I can escape for another weekend.... although blues is a huge temptation...

For those of you who have danced blues with me this will probably be a relief.....

I can't go!!! I've paid for the Focus Workshop and the Saturday party and I can't go!!!!! I've done something horrible and twistedly wrong to my knee and walking is hard right now never mind dancing...

Is there anyone out there who wants my tickets???

Sympathy messages are requested at this time.....

Update - went to the gp - I have Parvovirus B19 (thanks to the Whale for advising that when dogs/cats get that they get put down?!)

Knees, ankles, Elbows and especially wrists and fingerjoints all badly affected - swollen, stiff and sore (sounds like something else?!) bit like Rhumatoid (that's spelt wrong isn't it?!) arthritis

Be better in a week or so they think - mean while... I'm stayin away from the Crown Court 'cos I'd really want to dance and I'd be sooo jealous of you all

    ta for the good wishes....

I think it's just you trying to get out of having to dance with me.....

Seriously, hope you're better v soon Mezzo, sounds painful, and hopefully we'll be practicing our slides next week.

Sorry to read about your injuries. Perhaps the cure is already here. The Sunday Post doc this week asked the question "Is pregnancy the cure for arthritis?" Drastic action, I know but apparently, during pregnancy, women develop hormones that combat the effects of arthritis and in some cases have cured it altogether.

Keep taking the tablets (anti-inflamatory) and get well soon.

    Ooh no
Parvovirus, or Erthyrovirus B19 as it's more properly called, is usually only a mild disease - causes "slapped cheek" in kiddies, and arthralgia in older people. However it can cause fetal death. It's transmission route is aerosols so don't go breathing over any pregnant ladies.
Yes Whale, parvovirus can kill dogs, but it's not the same type of parvovirus...
