I'm going to a Rock'n'Roll night tonight! I've dug out my really flared skirt (woohoo!) - but we have been assured that there will be a mix of tempos (the DJ comes to our local Ceroc class) so we can MJ too.
Putney on Saturday has been CANCELLED.
...and also Sunday Squeeze at Putney.
Must be a problem with the venue?
Is Stanmore on this Sunday?

RH&B tonight was the best night of the year so far for me.
Got in a groooooove, helped of course by an excellent line up of leads and the usual super track selection.
Now where did I put the old grass skirt (truly purchased in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach (do I get extra points for that?)) for next month....
And John...was it track 2 that closed the show????????
Yes, that's right, similar but different.
It's no secret that John and I overlap very much on musical taste and have similar ears. Last night there were a few latiny tracks that don't suit me so much but they filled the floor and are obviously the style that some people go hoping to hear. Mostly it felt R&B (all eras) smoooooth to me and I got to mess around a lot in an unspecific but obviously talented kinda way
I had a grand old time at RH&B last night!Originally Posted by Chicklet
Having to play firefighter in the middle of my first dance (please folks, don't leave towels lying right next to candles - it's not a good combination! ), a mini-WCS workshop from Crossa (thanks for your patience with me!) and Killingtime bursting into song when there was a slight technical hitch with the music were interesting additions to the usual state of play...
I also enjoyed catching up with the girls, in particular the twenty minutes sat on the floor after our own version of musical chairs and I don't think I asked for a single dance all night, yet still got at least one from each of my favourite leads and managed to hit that "magic number"... guess who went home happy!
........and possibly Syrup and Honey, pretty please.
Sat night at CerocLive's Swindon "Black and Gold" freestyle was brilliant, and then the night got even better as we hit the Lava Lounge in Swindon after it finished, and carried on dancing til 3 AM!!
Unexpected, but totally magical - one of the best nights out dancing this year
