If so, Rye bonfire parade is on in Rye and some of the roads will be closed.
Thanks for that info Lee...have been trying to book a restaurant in Rye for that night but will go elsewhere now.

I can recommend Dunes (nice food, reasonably priced, busy and modern) or The Place (very nice food, reassuringly pricey-no riff raff). Both restaurants are walking distance from Pontins and much better than anything you'll get in Rye.

Me and Gav are going for lunch at The Place on Saturday. Can't wait. The last time I went there the food was extremely fresh and excellent quality.

    Hope that helps.

If anyone needs a lift back to London on Monday morning, come and find me over the weekend - have a space in the car. Going to south London, but can drop at a tube station quite easily.

I haven't been to Camber since they started charging for parking on site and I haven't booked parking, where does everyone park that hasn't? Are you able to drive in to the site to unload your stuff?

You can bring your car in I think they say for up to an hour to unload and then you have to move to outside in the street.

Yes £50 charge which you get back

My friend doesnt have parking , Im assuming cars outside are fairly safe there not providing secure external parking (Council Problems). Details on the ceroc website.

There are no yellow lines outside but wasnt their local complaints before ?

I dont know must happen all the time (re parking outside)

Last time I went to Camber I paid for parking and my chalet mates didn't but the security guy just told them to park wherever they wanted (on site) though probably not worth relying on

Have a great time everyone. Wish I was going too...

Didn't quite a few cars parked off-site get vandalised at Camber a year or two back? Not sure I'd be happy leaving a car off site.

Have fun y'all and I look forward to the luvvie-fest on Monday

I saw them letting any cars in last Camber - it made me so cross as not only did I pay my £10 - I had to drive round THREE times before finding a place and it was a squeeze to get my little micra in that spot

But here's a very short recap..

    It was good!

    Weather was crap!

Spikey Steve and Kathleen's engagement party went well and was a great way start to the weekend.

Appeared to be Less classes and more freestyle

The Pub was buzzing and was the hub of the socialising

Poor Dwain broke his ankle in the roller disco

the drifters made another unexpected appearance

Someone secretly tied lead weights the bottom of my legs on Sunday night but apart from that, I had fab dances all weekend!

That about sums it all up so why did it take me over a page the first time to say that??

It was very average with some of the poor stuff , e.g 6 hrs of boppy music on saturday night in the so called CHILL OUT ROOM off set by good WCS class etc

It's a shame that the Forum crash lost the aftermath thread for a great weekend.

    Bliss @ Camber 2008
    In summary
My weekend was awesome. Highlights were our engagement celebration, friends party, aerials materclass and private lesson and a truely amazing Sunday daytime and evening. Thanks to everyone who made this a very special weekend for Kathleen and I.

    Friday evening.
Engagement Party. Thanks to eveyone who came to the celebration for Kathleen and I. Thanks to all the congratulations and best wishes from everone and also those who couldn't make it for various reasons.
We really enjoyed ourselves and getting a chance to talk to so many of you. I think maybe we should have located the cakes nearer the dancefloor but we were very happy. Thanks to Lee and Claire for steeping in and doing the DJ slot for us after Dale dropped out due to other commitments.
After tiredness taking over after the party I made it out from about 4.15am to 5.45. Music was fab and it was great watching friends devour the remaining cake at the end. It looked so much fun chosolate fudge cake with fingers only P

    Saturday.
Afternoon really enjoyable three way tag with Joe and Kathleen.

Aerials master class with Herbie and Danni was superb. I think the class was almost sold out when we arrived at 4pm on the Friday. Nice safe lifts and baby aerials and we learned lots.

Evening, popped into Standout clothing shop. Collected my prize from the UK Open BluesChampionships. The shirt I chose recieved lots of lovely comments and that's always nice when you are out. I'm really glad that Standout clothing is expanding to include menswear.

The party with friends in the evening was great with Champagne, nibbles and great people. We light weighted on the freestyle afterwards and only made it until 3.30am.

The Drifters were very good. Kathleen loved them although I escaped to the blues room after a while.

Sunday - Day of harems and aerials, sublime night.
The scheduling of concurrent freestyles through the afternoon was great. I really enjoyed the swing style set upstairs in the afternoon. It was a great setting to pass on the tag bug to some new friends and from the excitement and enthusiasm detected I expect tag to be breaking out in the Essex area soon.

Freestyle and tag continued downstairs in the blues room. Session was great although I would have preferred a slightly more funky set in the afternoon. Great job though.

I was really enjoying some superb double trouble when Lorry and Toni (Forum name?) joined in to form a harem. I have always failed miserably in the past and given up. With thoughts of how amazing Trampy and Raphael look when they show their skills. I decided to give it a try. The result was real fun and my first success. Thanks to the harem for forcing me into it.

Had a great private with Herbie and Danni exploring ideas for aerials and learning the ways to do them as safe as possible whilst building confidence.

Session left us a bit tired and aching and luckily enough we had scheduled massages after the session.

Dinner with my lovely fiancée at the Place was very nice.
    Rest and out for 12:30am.
The night continued to be as amazing as the day. Some sublime blues music and dancing.

At 4 am space opened up for a little double trouble in the blues room. Really enjoying the connection etc Caryn decided to grab friends passing for a new Harem as I guessed she had loved it in the afternoon. Initially Becki (HappyB ?) was roped in and soon after we had another full harem of four going and I was head of the harem playing with new moves.
From Sultan of the harem suddenly I became one of Raphaels bitches as he showed us how it was done properly.
We all laughed so much and had so much fun as he handled the five of us.

    Monday
Lunch at the Black Lion. If you ever go here and have the Romney lamb pie then you must give me lots of rep. Any food is great though.

    Other positives.
    Fish and chips.
    Zoom
A hello and a quick chat with a lost friend meant a lot to me and to Kathleen and I know it should make some common friends feel more comfortable. Thanks.
    New friends.

    Negatives.
    The weather was abysmal.
Kathleen and I were too tired before the weekend.
Light weighting on Friday and Saturday meant I missed dances with people who left on Sunday.
I should have taken more photos. Again !!!!
