    Treating soles of Blochs

    Hi

Does anyone treat/clean the soles of their Blochs in any way - in order to make them more slippy?

I know we had a thread about people using gaffa tape.......which I tried but it looked naff/I could not get this to work......

    Any experiences/advice?

(The other option I know, is to invest in some other shoes - maybe that is another thread).

Best treatment for Blochs is half a cup of petrol and a lighter

I found Blochs to be useless for Jive and MJ (too much grip for spins and slides) and I only ever use mine now when I'm out on my mountain bike, they're light and very comfortable for biking in

Blocks make you bounce. They are fine for weekender workshops etc but I wouldn't want to dance proper in them.

I had suede soles put onto mine.

It cost $25, but that was a good cobblers in Holborn.

It makes them much more slidy.

What did you think of the physics of them at Utopia Stoke Bloke?

Unlike some others above, I can spin, slide and not bounce in my Blochs.

I've never done anything special to make them any better, though I wonder if the floor I normally dance on (unfinished wood), and the way I dance on them (lots of slides), helps make them a bit smoother and faster.
