Talking getting definition in your Gluteus Maximus

(or.. how to get a taut bum!)

for reasons that will be made apparent at Southport.. I am in need of ..erm.. improving the definition of my glutes! I think the term Twirly used with regards to them at present was "Like looking at a bowl of lumpy porridge" (I'm sure she loves me really )

Any one know the best way to tighten up that specific muscle group .. I wondered if squats would work but I thought they may affect the thighs more than anything else?

last thing I want is to make my thighs even bigger than they are are moment..

(ok sets stopwatch to time how long it takes for one of the troubles to get this sent upstairs )

Try squeezing them together during the day as you sit on a chair. Several reps per day should get you going. The best way though is also the hardest. Thats to go running regular.

I have a mussle group exersize book somewhere. If i find it later will post what it recommends.

Ohh and cheers for making me think about your ass at 8:30 am !!!!! lol

if your buttocks, or anywhere else for that matter, are overlaid with an excessively thick layer of fat then the definition of the underlying muscle is never going to show through.
Lose weight by adopting a low impact fitness regime. eg. swimming, cycling etc.

I too must be a saddo for discussing your body parts at any time of the day.

I'd recommend this exercise set in a podcast series. Saying that I don't do them anywhere near as much as I should .

You know I love you sweetie, whatever the state of your rear end...

Thank you for the buttock-boosting advice guys. A layer of excess adipose tissue is most definitely not the problem here!

Also any recommendations for nice smoothing-out type underwear would be useful (am so not an expert on men's undies ). The "lumpy porridge" comment was more to do with the underwear than Beo's "structure"! (hmm... now there's a research project for a Friday afternoon... looking at fit men modelling underwear )

OK, that's more than enough attention on Beo's derriere from me for now...

I saw a magazine at Seattle airport last week called 'Glute'. It was solely about toning your backside. An entire magazine. I am not making this up.
