Lots of ladies over, think the most we rotated round was 9. Mind you we had lots more people of both genders than normal cos we had a live band in, so that probably throws off your statistics...

Same amount of women over as every week at Nantwich. Though a follower commented on an increased number of men near the start.

Your theory rung true in Edinburgh tonight, normally there is 15 women over at the Jam house but tonight there was only 1 women over in the intermediate class.

Only thing is you’ve got the MEN/men stuff back to front.

“MEN” do dancing while other “men” go watch football.

You can tell this is true because real MEN do whatever they want to do (as long as it’s sociable acceptable) while other men follow the crowd (& do anything to fit in). Well that my story and I’m sticking to it.

So Stewart was it a good match?

Apparently we had more spare women than normal tonight in Glasgow. Don't know if that was due to fewer MEN/men or more WOMEN/women.

We had twice as many women as men in intermediates last night. . . .

Mind you I was as happy as Larry because they did Double Trouble as a class and I got to do it as lead . . . .

    I think everybody was laughing . . .

Sadly, Greenwich disproved the theory last night... was busier than normal, but we had lots of excess women in intermediates (wasn't there for beginners, but heard rumours of lots of men there). Not sure how many, as Russell interspersed us throughout the class, but think it was more than 10.

Stewart - think you should collate the results and do an analysis over time. Maybe there are certain teams who play who cause the increase in the number of real men dancing?

There were a few not there who might have been watching the football, but still plenty of guys there.

    Jive Aces were great!

Re: Anyone dancing tonight ? (29/4) A test

Its a funny one thats quite difficult to measure. Especially seeing as one week where I am we can have 10-15 women over and then 0 the next with seemingly no outside effects. I certainly think the amount of men who like dancing and football is a lot less than the general male population who like football (hence the men vs MEN thing but yes we should get the caps ) There will obviously be some but as has been pointed out its probably even with or less than the amount of women who miss going because "there'll be no-one there" I like football but would always choose dancing over it. Still my main dance nights are Mon and Thurs and Champions League is Tues and Weds so isn't affected much. When my local team (who I follow) played on a Monday once and it was on TV I still went dancing but the whole venue was completely dead. Probably 60% of normal from both

I think all this has proved is there are less MEN in Scotland ?? or men if you prefer

I think if we bring back ESG he can do the analysis
