Are you sure you're laughing with yourself and not laughing at yourself?

The word "throw" was deliberately chosen to attract attention. The footnote gave an explanation of exactly what the move involves, and the end of the footnote (after the --) was a joke (on 2 levels, but I think the 2nd level is only relevant to me).

Timbp - thanks for your earlier suggestions - I do appreciate it.

Speaking of laughter, your avatar did remind of this episode which was never shown:

And this early appearance of a certain forumite......

Did you hear the Cadbury factory in Tasmania is stopping its tours?
(Not that it affects me: I've been to Tasmania twice, and the factory was closed both times, so what difference does it make if there are no tours?)

Change hands on an in&out if really stuck. Or do an accordion-type move. Or a reversed first-move or sway as already suggested. If all else fails, do a push-spin and catch with the other hand

A 'cool' move. Either that or collect right to right as well and go into any of the moves from the crossed hands position.

Put your hips into it. Though that may make it worse!

And, I usually just either do some half-hearted reverse lady spin ('Ceroc' spin) or a quick hand change - neither of which are smooth.

I'm thinking it would be nice to have some smooth transition from this point. Any ideas?

    Thx.

(Maybe there is already a thread on this - if so apologies....)
I am not too sure about what moves, but I have had several occations to dance a whole dance with a follower who has a damaged right hand, wrist or arm/shoulder, so we simply danced using her left hand only.

It is different, and can be a lot of fun, so a good one to practice.

Yeah - horses are such clumsy dancers, you'd think they all had four left feet.

Personally, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I'd just follow whatever you threw at me.

I think it was the spiky flamenco heel that did the worst of the damage
And it must cost a fortune to buy two pairs of everything...

Lots of things work just fine from a left to left hand hold, you just need to try them. To gain thinking time you could lead a clockwise turn. Or opt out by offering right hand over left, then from right/right over left/left you are back into standard MJ repertoire like swizzles and accordions....

If you learn West Coast Swing you will see how left to left can be applied easily to undererm turns, left side passes, whips and so on.
