For those interested in progress, an experimental vegan, nut-free banana cake (with raisins) is baking as I type. I'm hoping it will taste as good as it smells!

Should the gingerbread be iced, or not?

If it looks like cake and smells like cake, it is cake.
    I'll eat anything sweet.
Thus my vote doesn't count for much.

Just weighed myself this morning, took another 2ib off so im alright for some cakies this weekend (well thats my thinking anyway)..... I can smell them from here. How long do you have to dance for to burn off a bit of gingerbread, a bit of brownie, a bit of lemon cake and oh a few more bits of something else?

Re: Blaze III Baking request poll

Well, I've made the choc and raspberry muffins, blueberry muffins and two carrot cakes (one will be iced, one left without icing for my lovely Jennifer, and they're all nut free, too). Tomorrow I'm making an apple and cinnamon cake - with nuts, I'm afraid, 'cus that's the way I like it!

Going to tesco tonight to stock up on tea, coffe and milk for everyone who's coming to my caravan for cakes and hugs.... Oh, and might buy some healthy food, too!

Hope there's going to be something for everyone, now..... I know LemonCake has made some vegan options, too, so everyone should be happy. Actually, I have a chocolate cake in the freezer too, it just needs icing (or could be eaten plain, too). Should I bring that? Naaaaaah, surely we don't need it?

Re: Blaze III Baking request poll

Just got back from London tonight and have been busy baking since we got in! Thank you for making vegan versions of the cakes - much appreciated So far I have made choc muffins, choc fudge brownies and vanilla sponge - all vegan and gluten free...too tired to do any more just now, but will start on more tomorrow. Really looking forward to Blaze now

I really don't think there's need for any more. Honestly, LC has made about 10 cakes (several vegan), I have 5 cakes, pmjd is making several cheesecakes plus chocolate truffles, and you've got 3 cakes!

I'm actually considering not baking the apple and cinnamon cake now, as there's just too many cakes already, and it's all getting a bit silly..... Especially as we won't be able to take them into the venue and make them available to everyone!

But mine are just normal sized, and you've obviously not seen just how much Aurion can eat..... (with a little help from me )

I will see how I feel tomorrow, after all, I can always bring them home.....

Yes, LemonCake's are normal sized too, but she's made vegan banana bread, and is making vegan lemon cake and I think one more thing..... So unless you're saying Aurion will eat 6 whole cakes on his own (or more), I really don't think there's need for more!

I think from now on I shall perhaps only bake one cake for weekenders (if any), as this baking craze has gone ever so slightly OTT.......!

Made two cheesecakes due to popular demand, one fudge cake as a request from someone, one banana walnut & choc loaf (my favourite).....plus a shed load of truffles!!!!! Think that'll do, especially wih all the other bits of baking going on

It'll be one for SP at most as it does seem to be getting out of control

Willing to help with the cake eating...

Not being able to take them into the venue might be a reason why they may not all get eaten - so how do we know where the cake caravans are?
