So about the same per hour as a standard freestyle, but the choice of two rooms, and a greater variety of people to dance with.
Also when Emma ran them there was an awful lot of effort put in to the decorating and weeks of rehearsing for the cabarets. I believe Emma is back now after her maternity leave. Not sure how involved she is with this event, but it used to be her personal touch that made Daventry freestyles so special. I believe the last one was before she returned so it can't really be compared with the usual events. As for price, let's compare it to Utopia which is £10 for 5 hours, with one room. £15 for 7 hours and two rooms seems about right. Instead of thinking well it's always been £10 so we are being ripped off with it being £15 (or £12.50 online), we could think we are lucky to have had it so cheap in the past, we could have been charged £15 for all those times too!

Does anyone go to Chesham on a Friday?

    If so what's it like?

Ashtead LeRoc this Saturday night has John Miller playing the the blues room.
Seems to be a discussion about drink prices and paying for water
Here water is free and bar prices are very good.

Has there been a debate of the cheapest and the most expensive clubs in buying driinks and what people are charged for water, if there was can someone please remind me the link.

    I've heard from Latin Ian..

Tonight, Chesham has two rooms again. Ian will be Djing in the Blues room and Joe smooth (I think) is in the mainroom.
Its definitely on till midnight, although Ian said, he may be able to keep going a bit longer but he wont know that, until this evening.

    I hope that helps

Here water is free and bar prices are very good.
And down here in Brighton we also have free Tea and Coffee all night

However, I don't think people select their venues based on free water, tea, coffee or bar prices. I can't see anybody changing their decision about where to go on a Saturday night with this thought "I know all my friends are going dancing down the road in Wigan, however, I'm going to drive an extra 40 miles to dance without my mates because there's free water".

1 -Just been speaking with Bradders. He's happy for us to open the Blues Room at our discretion with no disruptions.

2 -We will make announcements for the class and the cabaret, but the music will continue for those who wish to dance.

3 -They are also putting extra people/ laptops on the door to speed up entry.

    4 -We've secured extra fans.

5 -The extremely rare picture disc of Chesney Hawkes has arrived through the post today.

Just need to give this 12" a good polish and we'll be good to go.
So what is the current scheduled blues room opening time?

Cakes certainly arn't a make-or-break, but I think they show that the organiser is making an effort, and they tend to be a feature of more friendly venues.

How about price of tickets or how dear the bar is? Is that a consideration for some?
