That Ceroc Dancer is a Right Dog!

Way back in August 2007, bigdjiver said, in connection with the Ceroc linkage to Nuala:
Is the name Ceroc being promoted to potential customers in any way? If they had sponsored a racehorse or a greyhound (not good ideas) they could have at least got it named "Ceroc dancer".

Well what are we to make of this?

If you go down the results to the second entry for 13th January , it seems there is in fact a greyhound called CEROC DANCER!

I would love to have been able to post a picture of the dog, but all I can find is the trainer's website - he's based in Essex, so maybe someone on the forum will recognise him or his wife - or the dog!

It can't be left there surely.
    • How good is it's musicality?
    • Does it yank the rabbit, or does it have a more subtle lead?
    • To pick up on another thread, does it ever say no and if so is it a bad arrogant dog that runs against the ethos? Maybe we could get some informed comment from Gadget here
    • Is it male, and if so does it dance with other dogs, or only the bitches. If the former is it banned from less enlightened tracks.
My god we can't let this rich discussion seam pass

Much more important – which paw should it step back on?

And before it leaves the trap does it do a circle to the left?

The rabbit leads and the dog follows.

Aha! So it starts backwards, and then does a semi-circle to face the right way?

Ah, that's because I dance at a more enlightened place where any arc of the circle is banned!

There was once a dog that actually did this. That way it could see the hare coming.

Shows how much I know about greyhounds (and probably dancing too), I'd forgotten they chased a hare rather than a rabbit

That dog was racing at Walthamstow last year when I was there for a night out with sis.

We saw the name and instantly put £20 to win on that dog and it bloody hobbled in 5th.

Should have known really...Ceroc Dancer - a loser with a dodgy leg.
