    that depends - my browsers before IE were Voyager and IBrowse

    I'm not that old; in interweb terms at least.

    At the time I was handcoding HTML, Netscape wasn't capable of handling super/subscript (necessary for formulae) or justification at all well. At that time I was recommending IE 5.5 to my visitors and have stuck with its iterations ever since.
