Prob the solder for the audio jack inside the ipod has come loose. Easy fix if you know someone with a soldering Iron.
I would buy a decent, cheaper, more reliable music player.do I need to buy a new iPod?
I can only hear music through the left earplug of my little Shuffle. I tried swapping to another set of ear phones but I can still only hear through 1 ear (the right one this time).
Any ideas? It's over 2 years old and used several times a week - do I need to buy a new iPod?

I agree, it's probably a loose connection inside – similar to Amir's problem with his Shuffle.
But I also disagree, it's a perfect excuse to buy a shiny new 2GB Shuffle – I like the red one, personally.

or a 2gig MP4 video player with touch screen for the same price. Stage Touch MP4 Player 2GB With 2.5" Touch Screen Black - Ebuyer
or if you didn't want the touch screen or wanted something small like the shuffle Zen Stone Plus 2GB Pink mp3 Player With Lcd Display - Ebuyer
Neither tie you to itunes and their digital rights system allowing you to use your mp3 players as you want and not how apple wants you to. (they will both save you abit of money and problems later on too)
Thanks for your replies, Boys. I bought myself a new baby shuffle this afternoon (£32 in Argos - bargain).
Sadly, my PC is on dial-up (yes, I know I'm a dinosaur) and I can't download the latest version of iTunes before the 2 hour Tiscali cut -off. So, the fotting new iPod doesn't work.
Bu88er! What shall I do now?

Thanks Lee, but a colleague at work has offered to do this for me.
