The blues room is not that big, and doesn't start getting full till about 11pm - just pick someone with a their forum name displayed and asked to be introduced - most of us are not tooooo scary
ABSOLUTELY
Starts late afternoon on the green with rocks on it, near the childrens play area and very near the main complex - and outside Chalet 83 (my chalet)
We will post more details about the BBQ nearer the time, but all are invited, just bring a small contribution (nosh or booze - or both)
Welcome

Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
Just in case you did not know there is a forum bar-b-q at some point during the weekender. Normally it is on the Saturday late afternoon, unless the weather forecast indicates otherwise. Details will be discussed at length on here nearer the time.
Sleeping? Well, certainly try to get as much in as you can during the day and be sensible about it. Fact is that if you are really tired you wont enjoy your dancing. It is also worth bearing in mind that whoever is driving shouldn't be thinking about hitting the M6 for the journey home after only two or three hours sleep.
Don't worry about the fact that you have not been to SP before - having done a couple of week-enders you will recognise some faces, but nearly everyone is friendly anyway. There will certainly be some people there who are at a week-ender for the first time.
One thing I can almost guarantee is that you will both have a great time
If you want more tips and info then try searching the forum for previous threads about past Southports.
take a look at the post above, posted over two hours before
I usually organise the BBQ and have done so for a couple of years now - Lory kindly did the last one as I couldn't make Southport that time and she was staying in 'my' chalet and she did a fab job too ! (thanks Lory)
If you want to know more, please PM me, although further details will be on the forum nearer the time
We also have 'on route' picnic - depending on the weather
