If there is anyone in particular you wan't to meat let me know.

I always do a list from the poll of people I wan't to meat, and keep it in my bag over the weekend, it has there name on it and where I think they live so if they don't have a name on them I can try asking others in there geographical area if they know who they are.

I always go around the blues room rounding everyone up, it can be hard to drag yourself away when you dancing

Thanks for all the info Fletch...we're looking forward to meeting everyone at Southport (if not before).

If you need a contribution to the BBQ then Jo and I are sure we can rustle up something tasty and slim....and we don't mean us (her words LOL)

Pay me in chocolate and your secret identity is safe.

Any tips/advice on what to try, where to dance, and what to avoid at Southport, gratefully received, thanks!!
Mine too, and starting to get excited already!

    Sounds good!

Thanks everyone for all the advice on this and other threads; it's very helpful for a newbie to know some of this stuff in advance. Just need to get me a train booked now, which I can do now I know the name of the station I'm aiming for (unless anyone coming from Scotland has room for a little 'un and her baggage? ) .

Do that and you will definitely have a lot of people wanting to know who you are - and not to dance with!

(LM would prob manage to still make it taste nice anyway.)

Good luck on your first Southport...

As to sleep, when I went to the first one, my sleep schedule was 7 am til 12 noon (coz you dance til 6 then have muffins) , do a couple of workshops in the afternoon, socialise, have dinner, then go to sleep 8pm til 11pm. Get out to the dance floors by 12 midnight and keep going until 6 or 7 am (especially in the blues room)

This is my very first SP too.. I'll be easy to spot. I'll be the gormless lost looking one standing next to Twirly Just look for someone who doesn't quite seem to know where he is/what day it is/what's going on or even what planet this is or who he is.. that's likely to be me.

If you're not 100% sure.. ask him his shoe size or his mothers birthday.. if he looks puzzled then looks up the answer in his PDA.. Yup you've found me
