    Moving to Singapore

After too many years dancing in the UK, and over 5 concentrating mostly on Modern Jive I am upping sticks and moving to Singapore for, well, for as long as it takes really... 5 years or so probably.....

I'll be dancing at Twyford this weekend (8th March), and then at Utopia on 14th March.... Please come and join me at one or the other for a farewell dance

    Foxy xxxx

(and drop me a line if you are visiting Singapore cause I'll be short of dance partners/companions)

Missing you already petal (feels like I haven't seen you for ages anyway) - hopefully we can get together for a dance and/or chinwag before you go.

Hope you love your new home town, but not so much that you never come back to visit!

    thank you

A big thank you to everyone who came to utopia last night to give me a good send off....

to Sparkles for the delicious cakes

to Cruella for taking so many pictures and making me a gorgeous and very sparkly leaving book... so many lovely messages

to Lory for driving me to and fro so that I could have a drink or two (although to be honest i was dancing so much I didn't have time to drink)

to Val, dave and Vince for making it special

and to all the dancers who let me enjoy wickedly UCP dances all night, and especially adorable FoxyFunkster...

    Keep in touch everyone.

    Foxy

(oh pooh, it won't let me add all the smileys I want to!

    Re: Moving to Singapore

Really sad not to have been able to see you last night at Utopia - there were no ladies tickets left when I looked.

All the best for your move to Singapore - it sounds really exciting, and hopefully Lily will be able to give us updates on your news when she goes to visit. Keep us all posted on the forum, and let us know how everything goes.

Lots of love and luck and hope to see you again ere long.

    Re: Moving to Singapore

Well as promised I met up with Adam (cerocmetro) and we hit the Xenbar salsa bar and restaurant (didn't see any sign of food though)...

We both did beginner and intermediate salsa lessons which was extremely reminiscent of ceroc classes, despite being much smaller....
Your general range of fairly decent women dancers with a few social misfits and a smattering of men who fancy themselves....

The teacher was actually very good. Taught good technique - "angle momentum" in assisted turns.. lead and follow, footwork and tension and compression well covered... Although i am still struggling to understand 'singlish'..

We ducked out and went and grabbed some pretty decent pork ribs and noodles (for $4, about £1.35) ... Adam was pretty knackered having flown in this morning, played golf all day, and then danced for a couple of hours...

Thanks Wes for the heads up to the XenBar (Lily - it was next door to where we thought it was !!)... Justin wasn't there but if I go again I'll give him your regards...

    Foxy xx

    (so nice to dance)
