... I'm a very happy bunny!
Steps reunite for UK tour
I'll get my coat.
I wonder how Step fans there are still???
I would have gone to the Backstreet Boys concert if the prices for a ticket wasn't sky high!!!
Re: Thread title.
(Allegedly) the members of STEP agree. I have it on good authority that their opening number is going to be a cover of "It's not right, but it's OK" by Whitney Houston.
You don't think that this statement might be slightly fattist then?
Dangerous comment in my opinion, especially written on a dance forum where there are plenty of us 'Fern Britton' shaped dancers. (We might all gang together and sit on you as your punishment!)
I think their music is fab and really catchy. However, I'm ashamed to say that the first time I met H in a "green room" at the SMTV/CDUK studio I said "excuse me, are you sitting on my daughter's coat?". My daughter was blushing and miming madly from the other side of the room "DAD - THAT'S H". My answer was, "he's still sitting on your coat".
Okay, four! I always loved them....
Well, I hadn't thought of it like that. (By the way, there's as big a gap between you and Fern Britton as there is between me and Johnny Vegas.) I think that in the late 90s Claire Richards was quite the most gorgeous woman in pop. I'm hoping that she will be again, on the new tour...

Are you trying to make me do bad things?
Actually, being serious for a moment, it turns out that Fern Britton's recent weightloss was caused by her having a gastric band operation (see this Telegraph article for details). Considering how she always said she was happy being big, and she'd claimed that she'd lost the weight through exercise, I somehow suspect she wasn't all that happy in the first place. Maybe she got fed up of described as "Fern Britton" shaped?
Me, yup I'm too big at the moment. But that's my own fault for eating too much & not dancing as often as I used to. That's domestic bliss for you.
Yeah, because no-one ever judged them on their looks or anything, it was their songwriting talents and musical accomplishments that people remember most.
"Looking good" is part of their profession - in fact, it's almost the only part of their profession. If they were actually talented - like Duffy, or Amy Winehouse - they could get away with different looks. As they're not, they have to sell their image. So I think it's legit to talk about their image.
Not sad.. I too am a closet steps fan.... Mind you their live shows were pretty amazing when they were together.. proper show people... I went to see them twice at least
*goes off to hide in a corner in embarrassment*
Mind you.. i am the queen of cheeze
they are immortalised at the start of every rotation
yes, they have THAT much clout
