    Work/dance Balance.

Sometimes my job can be a bit stressful and this week was one of those times - mainly because of a work-related visit I had to organise to London. Anyway, this affected my confidence for the Thursday night class I go to and I only asked one person to dance, also it prevented me from attending the potentially exciting freestyle last night at Evesham . This prompted me to wonder to what extent other people's jobs interfered with their dancing? Bearing in mind that I have changed my working hours to make it easier to go to weekenders. (I also sometimes brush off family and friends in favour of dancing!)

I go where I want, when I want but due to getting up tiredness I no longer travel on weeknights. Well not far. There was a long period of me getting say less and 4 hours sleep a night and my body didn't cope. So it's mainly just weekend dancing for me now.

Few responsibilities, so I just abandon everything and go dancing.

I work three evenings a week which limits my dance nights to two...but it probably is a good thing as my 'non dancing' husband would be even grumpier if I went dancing four or five nights which I could sooooo easily do

I prefer freestyles, so dont usually go out dancing in the week. I just started going to WCS classes on Mondays. Which is OK as I work from home Tuesdays, I get up later, dont get suited and booted, have a lazy PJ day.

However if I go to Berko on a Sunday night, I am really tired on Monday, especially if I have been out Friday and Saturday too. I try and hide behind my PC. As long as I am in the office, I get away with it. If I am obviously suffering I make up an excuse about my 4 year old waking me in the night

I find that dancing is one of the few things that will totally blot work out from my mind. So as long as I have the time; the tougher work is the more dancing helps relieve the stress.
